Ranma, Ukyo and Shampoo are mutants who have fled to America from Japan after being persecuted and pursued by Kuno. They meet Emma Frost who offers the a place in the Hellfire club. Their first mission takes them into a base to rescue several captured mutants, but on the way Ranma overhears the creation of a new weapon, Lady Deathstrike otherwise known as Kodachi Kuno.
