I've been getting so many request for 'back issues' of my fics. I decided to
do some repost. Here is a slightly cleaned up version of Separation anxiety.
Permanent will follow and then the completed 'Spirit within' over the next
week or so. I don't mind getting C&C on these, in fact I'd love it. Send C&C

Separation Anxiety part 8
Ryoga's Breaking point blasted Ranma back again as the force from the blast
lifted him into the air. Ranma staired at Ryoga with a gaze of ice as he
tried to talk the lost boy out of the battle one last time. "Ryoga thats
enough I don't need this now." he said with no small measure of anoyance in
his voice.
That set Ryoga off. "Am I anoying you Saotome?!" he cried angrily. "Eat this
then. Shi Shi houkou dan!" he blasted at Ranma with all his pent up rage and
frustration from being unable to lay a hand on him. Ranma narrowly dove away
from the blast and rolled to his feet feeling a little singed.
"He's not kidding." Ranma thought as he turned to face Ryoga again. "Fine if
thats how you want to play it." cried Ranma rushing Ryoga angrily.
'Ranko' almost passed out as she saw her mother sitting at the table with
her father and the Tendos. "O-Ok-Oka sa..." she stammered before Nabiki put
her hand over the shocked Ran-chan's mouth.
"Oh look Auntie Ranko's so happy to see you she's speechless." she said
looking atthe girl as if to understand she was clear headed enough for her to
remove her hand. "Isn't that right Ranko?" Ran-chan only nodded.
Ranma turned away from the battered Ryoga and walked towards the Tendo home.
"Mabey now you'll listen to me when I say 'not now.'" he grumbled as he
walked.
Ryoga looked at the sky as he lay on the spot Ranma had left him in. "So here
I am again." he thought darkly. "Lost humiliated at the hands of that Damn
Saotome..." he felt a depression in him again. Then something popped into his
mind. He reached into his pocket and felt the cold metal in his hand. "Its
still there." he thought. He pulled the amulet out of his pocket and strung it
around his neck. "Lets see what you can do for me." he said calmly looking at
the small man made of metal with a small red stone embedded into his chest.
The figure appeared to be running and was dressed strangely. The figure began
to glow faintly and Ryoga dropped the amulet under his shirt. "Ranma! Where do
you think your going? We aren't finished yet." he yelled as he saw the
diminishing figure of Ranma turn to face the sound of his name.
Ranma looked around as he heard his name. "Great someone else..." he thought
as he turned to see Ryoga heading towards him looking angry. "Haven't you had
enough yet?" he said angrily.
Ryoga stood and stared at Ranma with an even gaze. "Were not finished yet."
said Ryoga forcefully.
"Great he's in one of those moods, he won't stop till I knock him out."
thought Ranma sourly. Ryoga rushed forward and nailed Ranma dead in the face.
"You jerk!" cried Ranma picking himself off the ground ten feet from where he
had been.
"Ryoga looked at his fist. "I hit him?" he thought. Ryoga only smiled as a
realization hit him. Ranma rushed him and Swung at him full speed. Ryoga
danced around his blows taking only two or three light hits, he smiled at
Ranma and launched his own attack. Ranma dodged most of them but took two or
three bone crushing hits that knocked him back twenty feet.
"What the hell?" said Ranma looking at Ryoga dumbly from his place on the
ground.
"Ranma today I finally defeat you for good!" cried Ryoga. Ranma stood
shakilly. "Now you finally get a taste of your own medicine." said Ryoga with
a laugh.
"How? how did he get so fast?!" thought Ranma desperately looking for an
answer somewhere, none came. Ranma stared at Ryoga hard. "How?" he asked him.
"Thats for me to know Ranma. Take this Katsutenshin Amaguriken!" yelled Ryoga
as he unleashed Ranma's own attack on him.
Ranma tried to dodge but could not Ryoga was too strong for him and those
blows he had taken earlier had taken all the fight out of him. Ranma felt
hundreds of blows hit the same spot on his chest in the space of a second. He
reeled over and fell to his knees his chest burned with pain like he had never
felt before as his ribs had broken under the pressure.
"How does it feel Ranma? What you've done to me so many times without even a
second thought?" growled Ryoga. Ranma felt his consiousness slip away. Ryoga
started to walk away and stopped. "I can't just leave him here." he thought
with a heavy sigh as he remembered what would happen if any of the 'others'
found Ranma weakened like he was, and lifted Ranma over his shoulder. he
pushed the thought of what might happen if Ranma was found by Shampoo or god
forbid Kodachi in the condition he was in out of his mind. "Shouldn't have
gone there, ne Ranma?." he said aloud as he continued to walk.
Less than an hour later he found the Tendo Dojo. "How lucky can you get
Ranma? I wasn't even looking for it." said Ryoga as he left Ranma at the door
of the Tendo home. "Not too lucky I suppose." said Ryoga as he looked at
Ranma's limp form against the door. Ryoga knocked at the door and walked away
feeling better than he had in weeks.
Akane answered after a moment and looked around. "Who?" she said and then
felt something fall against her leg. She looked down to see an uncounsious
Ranma. "R-Ranma?" she gasped.
Ranma woke up feeling awful an hour later. "Ranma my son wake up." said a
familiar voice. Ranma felt his head being gently caressed by a wet towel, a
cold wet towel. His mothers voice rang in his ears and he froze in fear.
"Ranma honey how do you feel?" she asked him.
"Hey dummy wake up." said another voice that was also familiar.
"Ran-chan?" he asked groggily relaxing as memories flooded back to him. "M-
mom?" he said looking at his mother's face looking down on him. His head was
in her lap.
"Yes Ranma?" she said to him as he looked at her dumbly.
"Wake up boy. Tell us what happened." said Genma.
Ranma looked at his mother and ignored his father. "Mom!" he cried throwing
his arms around her.
"Its nice to see you too my son." she said to the boy as he winced in pain
and lay back down. "Ran-chan?" she thought casting a glance at 'Ranko' as she
sat looking uncomfortable across from her. Her mind thought back to the time
her and Akane were in the kitchen with her and the rivalry that was there.
"Oh-oh my." she thought in shock. "I can't beleive I didn't see it." she kept
a neutral face with more than a little effort.
"Ranma what happened?" asked Akane with a worried exspression.
Ranma was about to speak when Ranko piped up "I'll tell you what happened, he
got beat up." said Ranko with an annoyed look.
"I Know that dummy." said Akane equally anoyed, "but by who and why?" she
ammended.
Nodoka looked at the two girls and sighed. "It seems to have gotten worse as
well." she thought.
Ranma sat up. "It was Ryoga, somehow the jerk learned the Chestnut fist." he
said looking somber. "Its going to take a bit of work but I can get faster
than him in a few days." said Ranma looking determined.
"Sounds like you got what you deserved. Your always picking on him, you
always do that to him." said Akane.
"Who's side are you an any way?" asked Ranko. "He always starts it." she said
defencively.
"How would you know that Ranko?" said Akane with a smirk.
"Because I am..." Ranko stopped aburptly as Genma and Ranma inhaled sharply.
"You like him so much go get engaged to him." said Ranko finally. Akane turned
away and turned up her nose at this.
Nodoka frowned inwardly and sighed "This appears to be worse than I thought."
she said to herself.
Ranma looked at his chest. "As soon as I'm better I'll train until I can beat
that jerk agan." he said angrily.
"Train all you want you'll still never get as fast as me." said Ran-chan with
a smirk.
Ranma looked at her evenly. "We'll see." he said and stood.
"Well now thats over and we can talk about how you've been." said Nodoka
cheerfully to her son. "And why you never came to visit when you returned to
Japan. I know you have a very good excuse isn't that right dear?" she said
still smiling.
Ran-chan smiled and Ranma and Genma sweat. "Uh Ranma why don't you show your
mother to her room she must be very tired after her trip." said Genma looking
at desperately. Nodoka continually continued to wait for her exsplanation with
Kasumi like calm.

TO be continued...
Yes I like Ryoga, he does play a big part in this. However THis does not mean
I will ignore every one else in the story. Mousse Shampoo and every one else
are still in there so fear not! I didn't write that bit in part 8 to get rid
of him as it seemed to some readers. I'm also still unsure how Cologne will
react to this, or what it will bode for Ranma-chan. The story takes place in
the Thirties of the Manga before Nodoka discovers Ranma's curse.
Warning Manga spoiler![I'm not sure what volume In the mid Twenties I
beleive. I don't own all of the Manga only up to 19 but I have seen and read
all of them.(read being I have a vauge Idea of what happens as my Japanese
sucks right now but I'm working on it]
Read on only If you think Ryoga was OOC.
OOH that was more fun to write than it should have been! Any way for all you
guys out there who think Ryoga is OOC. Here's a little info for ya. In the
manga, after he learned the Shi Shi houkou dan, He carried Ranma back after he
beat him with it. [Ranma then learned how to do it and modified it into the
Moukou Takabishi. Came back and kicked Ryoga's butt. Well he won anyway....]
