Chapter One: Shattered Reality Ranma Saotome. Wild Horse. He was the embodiment of Chaos and so was his life. It was full of peril and excitement. Although harsh, it was still his life and he was happy with it. That was until his father, Genma, took him to China and to a certain Jusenkyou. Being turned into a girl with cold water wasn't what had made his sanity snap; it was being stuck as one that did it. Genma had been cursed as a panda but could still change back to a man with hot water. Ranma on the other hand couldn't. He... SHE... became a lifeless shell of his former self. She had wandered and learned many different kinds of martial arts. She learned everything she could but the excitement of what the Art had once given her was not there. Several months later she found herself in Japan once again. Ranma Saotome had died in China and all that was left was her. Reiko Sakura. She started over and went to school. She was always alone and didn't have any friends. She never saw her family again for she did not have one. She got money working at the local restaurant. Her life was dull and her employer never saw her smile once. She lived to accept that she was now not a man but that didn't mean that she was happy with being a woman. She may not have wanted to live but she did it anyway painfully as it was. Years passed and she graduated without pride nor joy. She had thought that she would probably die old without ever experiencing love again, but that was when HE came. Tomo Aino. He befriended her and for once the loneliness in her heart was gone. He brought happiness into her cold heart once again and then they got married. Although she had tried to give up the art it was still ingrained into her. So everyday when Tomo wasn't at home she would secretly practice her katas and work on her chi manipulation. No one knew that she was a high rank martial artist, all they saw was a dutiful wife. She got a job at the hotel and lived happily with her dear Tomo. The world was not such a lonely place anymore and she was happy with the peaceful life she had. She had thought that nothing could go wrong that they would grow old together, but she was wrong. It was that fateful day that when the harsh reality came crashing back at her... +++++++++ A young lady ran back and forth occasionally putting some stuff into the large suitcase on the bed. Her long black hair was kept in a bun and she wore a long sleeve shirt with matching pants. She stopped and looked at the list in her hand making sure that she had everything in the suitcase. Suddenly large arms grabbed her and she turned around surprised. When she saw the dark-haired man she relaxed and smiled giving him a light kiss. When she pulled away he pouted. Seeing his expression she smiled. "Come on Tomo, it is no time for that now. Your flight to Hong Kong is in half an hour." The man, Tomo, gave a defeated sigh and pushed his silver wire-rim glasses up a little bit. "Okay Reiko, but still..." Reiko shook her head. "Nope." She bent down and closed the black suitcase. Seeing the disappointed look on his face she gave up and hugged him. He smiled brightly and kissed her. They stood there kissing for several minutes but when Tomo had decided to bring up the passion a notch or two Reiko reluctantly tried to disengage herself. Of course Tomo wouldn't let her and held her closer. "Mmph, mphfhnm.." She said trying her best to protest but he wouldn't listen. He slowly lowered onto the bed next to them and... *RING!!!* He stopped sourly and watched as his wife went to answer the phone. "Moshi Moshi?" She said into the receiver. "Oh Alex, it's you. A huh, what?" Her expression turned to shock as she listened to what her employee told her. "Nani! Hold her off Alex and try to calm her down, I'll be right there!" With that she hung up the phone and gave an apologizing glance at her husband. "I'm sorry Tomo-chan but the bride at the hotel wants to commit suicide after she found out that her baka fiance had an affair..I have to go. Gomen." He sighed but gave her a reassuring smile. He stood up from the bed and gave her one last soft kiss. "Just go, besides my flight is about to leave anyway." She thanked him and got her keys. While she put on her heels and purse smiled at her husband. Just before she left she turned around to look at him one last time. "Bye, I love you." Tomo smiled and replied. "I love you too...." Turning to leave, she didn't see the look of disgust in his eyes. He whispered disdainfully. "...not..." +++++++++ The Yamada Hotel had started off as a small hotel, without many customers. It was very simple and perfect for the common people to use. Slowly it had become famous, a popular place for tourists to stay at. It grew in size as more and more people stayed in the modest hotel. From a small hotel, it became a well known five star one. There was a swimming pool with several Jacuzzis, tennis court, weight room, a large dojo for the martial artists that stopped by, and several different varieties of food restaurants in its second floor. The Yamada Hotel now had over 20 floors and a vast surrounding land for the different activities the tourists to try. Right now though, the most important issue wasn't about how the Yamada Hotel had rose into a five star hotel. It was about the distraught bride-to-be that was currently standing oh-so-close to the roof's edge. The hypocritical fiance of hers was standing several feet away with about half a dozen nervous Yamada employees. Alex wiped the sweat coursing down her brow and shot an angry glance at the man beside her. What a conniving, unfaithful, JERK! She thought darkly. She ran her fingers through her short blonde hair as she continued to watch the bride. Several other female employees also gave the bastard icy glares. The man beside her, Souichi Igari, shivered slightly while fingering his engagement ring, absently thinking what caused him to shiver like that. He was wearing a white dress shirt, his blue tie hung loosely by his neck. There was only a slight breeze but it seemed to have gotten colder. +++++++++ Reiko frowned as she stared at the road ahead of her. She cursed softly as the light turned red. Flipping her phone open she dialed her employee's cell. She answered on the first ring. "Alex, this is Reiko. How bad is the condition?" Alex sounded really nervous and she couldn't blame her. It took her several tries for Reiko to finally understand what the girl said. "The bride is still crying on the roof's edge. She moved several inches closer to the edge already. The bastard groom just stands there though." Reiko scrunched her brow in concentration. "Okay, do as I tell you and I'll try to get there as soon as I can. Stall her by asking her how she feels, as if we don't know, but ask her anyway. Ask her if she thinks it's worth it to die for the jerk. If she still won't come back in, as a last resort.." She sighed. "Make Ling Ling cry." She closed her phone and sped up. Mumbling to herself she said, "For some reason, I don't think that even that last resort is going to stop the bride from jumping." +++++++++ Alex tried hard not to scream in frustration. She had tried every method Reiko had told her but it only managed to stall the distraught bride for several minutes. Oh please Reiko, come soon! She thought desperately. She glanced at the green haired girl several feet away from her and bit her lip. Should I do it or not? She was forced to take the method that she did not want to take when the other female employees yelled out in desperation as the bride took yet another faithful step closer to the edge. Alex ran towards the tall girl and whispered in her ear. Ling Ling's eye widened in shock as she listened to what Alex said. Her brown eyes started to water as she sobbed, "What?! I-I'm f-f-fired? Waahh!!" She shook her long green hair in denial. "No, no, no! Why? Tell me why? Waaahhh!!" The other girls stared at Alex in shock. Alex just brought a finger up to her lips silencing them. They nodded understanding that they were to follow Alex's lead. Alex wrapped her arms around Ling Ling to comfort her. The brunette bride stared at Ling Ling in surprise. "What's wrong?" Her voice was full of sympathy and pain. Ling Ling was too busy crying to answer but Alex wasn't. "My friend her was just dumped by her fiancee too. He was sleeping with other women when she wasn't with him." The bride nodded understanding how the crying girl felt. "He betrayed you too didn't he? Come over here with me and we'll both commit suicide together." She held out her hand to the green haired girl waving her over. Ling Ling, who was currently not thinking straight, was starting to walk towards bride when Alex pulled her back. Alex held Ling Ling's arm firmly her eyes wide in shock. This wasn't supposed to happen! "STOP!!" Alex sighed in relief as she heard the voice. Turning to face the door to the stairway, she called out happily, "Thank God you're here, Reiko!" Reiko nodded as she walked past the blonde lady. She stopped in front of the bride and scowled. "Why are you doing this?" The bride snorted angrily. "As if you didn't know. I'm doing this because I found out that my fiancee was out sleeping with another woman!" She gazed hatefully at ground, her soft brown eyes wandering towards her engagement ring. Reiko sighed, her anger dispersing. "Look, let me ask you two one question. Answer truthfully please. Do you two love each other?" The bride murmured a small yes while the groom slowly nodded his head. Reiko whirled around and faced Souichi. "Tell me this. Do you really love this woman?" Souichi nodded. She rolled her eyes at the man. "Then tell her that you love her then! What are you standing there for? If you love her you would immediately ask her to come back down from the ledge not stand there like an idiot!" The shorthaired man burst into action practically sprinting to the bride. He hurriedly said words of apology and love to the distraught woman. The bride slowly stopped crying and sniffled lightly at her love. "Do you mean it?" She asked meekly. He nodded and she jumped at him, embracing him tightly. Reiko sighed in relief along with the other employees present. One person, however, did not sigh in relief. That was.. "Waaahhh!!! The bride's not going to die anymore but I got FIRED!! WAAAHHH!!" Ling Ling cried loudly behind the whole group. Reiko and Alex looked at each other sheepishly. "Umm..Ling Ling? We got something to tell you.." Ling Ling looked at the two and sniffled. +++++++++++ Reiko whistled a happy tune as she drove her black Saturn car to the airport. Glancing at her watch she saw that she still had about twenty minutes until her husband left for Hong Kong. Now that the crisis was over she could leave the hotel and say good bye to her husband. Her body tingled with warmth as she thought about Tomo's love for her. She couldn't wait to see him. Hurriedly parking her car she dashed inside the airport. She headed over to Gate 12 and looked around for her husband. Her blue eyes darting back and forth she finally spotted a familiar dark-haired man. He was standing there with his luggage at his feet looking ever so handsome. She raised her hand and prepared to call his name when her heart shattered. A tall woman about two years older than her ran towards her husband and hugged him. She was wearing a pink halter top and tight black leather pant. She leaned back from Tomo and they kissed passionately. Tomo ran his fingers through the woman's short brown hair and moved the other down further. She stared stoic at the two, her face frozen in shock and pain. Tomo continued to kiss the woman until he saw her. He tried to dislodge himself from the brunette but she held on to him nibbling his ear and then kissing his face. She stopped what she was doing and looked in Reiko's direction. She looked at the man in her arms and asked, "Who is she?" Tomo didn't say anything and neither did Reiko. Reiko whirled around walking away from the horrible couple, tears of pain streaming down her soft complexion. That was when her reality was shattered, for a second time. +++++++++ End Chapter One. I, however, do own the new characters that I made up...but then again...those characters are nobodies... Chapter Two: Changes Made +++++++++ A woman sat on her king size bed staring at the large mirror before her. She saw a pain stricken woman that was currently heart broken. The image in front of her reflected a different person from who she was days ago. She had black hair and the brightest blue eyes ever. Her long hair was held tightly together in a bun. She wore a dark blue business suit and her skirt was a little past her knees. A single tear made its way down her cheek, as she didn't bother to wipe it away. She mumbled emotionlessly. "What had I done wrong? What Tomo, what?" Reiko held back her urge to break down crying with difficulty. Her mind drifted back to something she had not thought about for a long time. The time that she had first met Tomo. [Flashback] Reiko sat eating her bentos in the hotel's lunchroom. She sat alone and no one bothered her. There was happy chatting going around as she absently noticed that her co-workers were talking about some new guy coming to work there. Bah, she thought darkly. Who cares about some stupid guy? A dark haired man walked into the lunchroom causing several girls to stop talking as they stared dreamily at him. He smiled at the small group of girls sitting together and they all sighed. He got his lunch, a fried chicken and chow mien and paid the man at the counter. His hazel eyes scanned the room as he took notice of the girls staring at him. His eyes stopped at one table in the corner of the room. Sitting all alone was the most beautiful girl he had ever met. Her dark black hair was tied in a ponytail and she wore a business suit, although it was quite odd for her to wear pants instead of the usual skirt others wore. Reiko noticed that the loud talking had quieted down but ignored it. She did not care for those things. She sensed a presence walking up to her and she looked to her right. She snorted in disgust as she saw that it was a male. He stood next to her table and smiled. "May I have the pleasure of sitting with you, Mam?" He carried a plate with his meals on it and he waited for her reply. She automatically growled. "No you don't." She looked away from him and continued eating her lunch. He smiled taking her rude comment in stride and sat down. "Why thank you. I'm Tomo Aino, what's your name?" He set his plate on the table and stared at her. Reiko turned her blue eyes at him and glared. "I told you to go away." Damn jerk, she thought angrily. Some people are just so thick skinned. Tomo casually leaned against his chair and listened to the whispers circulating around the room. "So, nice to meet you too Reiko. Noticed that you were sitting alone so thought I'd might join you. Hope you don't mind." Reiko scowled. "'Course I mind, jerk." She had to admit it though, the guy knew what to look for. Listening to the others gossip about us is the easiest way to find out what my name is. When his ever-bright smile didn't falter she got back to her meal and ignored him. Ended up that Tomo was the new co-worker that she was getting and sadly enough, he was her new partner. Tomo would sit with her at the corner of the lunchroom every day and talk to her as if they were best friends while she would continue to ignore him. Every so often, she would say something rude that would hopefully scare him off. Nothing seemed to work. Reiko became better known and less unpopular in the Yamada Hotel. She slowly began to enjoy his presence but she would never let him know that, of course. Every time she began to warm up to him she would stop immediately when she realized what she was doing. Many times she had to tell herself that "She was a guy dammit!" in order to clear away her feelings for him. This continued for a while, and everyone knew about the Tomo-talks-animatedly-while-Reiko-coldly-ignores-his-babble routine. Their relationship became well known throughout the entire building and the workers began to get used to their odd way of communicating. All that changed when one day.. Reiko was on her way back to her apartment and Tomo accompanied her. She tried every possible way to discourage him but nothing seem to make him change his mind once he decided to do so. Reiko liked walking from the hotel to her 'home' since she did not use any extra technology that her work did not require for her to use. Usually she would take the long way and detour into the nearby park but this time it was different. She wanted to get rid of Tomo as soon as she could so she took a short cut. She went the opposite direction and instead of a detour into the park it was one into a dark alley. They walked into the alley for less than a minute when Reiko sensed someone nearby. She stopped causing Tomo to almost bump into her. A hideous laugh was heard as two figures stepped out of the dark. Both were dressed in leather clothes and both had ridiculous hair. Of course the main feature the two had that scared 'normal' people was that they were both huge. Not fat huge, but muscle huge. One of them, the taller one, took out a knife and smirked. "Well, well, well...look what we have here..." He openly leered at Reiko causing her blood to boil. Tomo, however, was a different matter. He was inwardly shivering from fear and silently cursed the beautiful tomboy next to him. That idiot! Why'd she have to go and walk into this damn alley? Now we have two punks here who probably wants to take our money or kill us. Maybe even both! The shorter one snorted and flashed a disgusted look at his partner. "Idiot! We're not here to leer at girls even though she is a babe...maybe dressed a little too boyish but hey, that doesn't cover her figure! Anyway, back to business. We want your money and we want it now. Hand it over before we do something rash." He looked at them confidently. No one could resist giving in to their demands when they were facing armed HUGE men. They obviously never met Reiko Sakura before. Tomo panicked and tried to get his wallet out as soon as possible. Unfortunately, he tripped over his own leg and lurched forward towards the two men. He could only yell out in panic, hoping to save his face. "No! We are never going to give you anything!" Reiko growled and was about to attack them when Tomo lurched forward at the two. The short but bulky man stared at Tomo in disbelief while his comrade snarled angrily. The taller man dashed towards Tomo and stabbed him. Tomo yelled in pain. "Arrgghh!!" Reiko gasped and caught Tomo as he fell. Tomo weakly smiled at her. "Can't say that I didn't try to protect you.." He lost consciousness the moment he finished his sentence. Conflicting emotions fought in her heart but she ignored them for a while. She let the emotion she was very used to take control. She glared at the two men hatefully. Standing up she growled. "YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!!!" She let anger take control. It was undecided if Tomo being unconscious then was a good thing or a bad thing. The good thing would be the awe he would see as Reiko maimed the two. The bad thing would be the cruelty and various..ahem..harsh methods she used to punish the two. The two never knew what hit them. Or stabbed... Or maimed... Or kicked.... After the two scums slumped to the floor she turned to look at Tomo. Her eyes had changed from the cold indifference and anger she usually showed when facing him into worry. "Tomo no baka. You don't even know how to fight but you still..." She thought that he had leaped forward to protect her but what she didn't know was that he had tripped from trying to chicken out. [End Flashback] Well, until now that is. With her mind more cleared and self-pity not clouding her judgment she saw something that she should have never missed. "That bastard didn't jump to save me..he fell on accident!" Her eyes suddenly went from sadly blank to angrily focused. "I hadn't done anything. I was just an idiot." She said this time louder than before and with more emotion. She was angry with herself. Angry at herself for falling in love with the hypocrite Tomo. "How could I have been so blind? Was I that desperate for love that I had recklessly threw myself at him?" She laughed bitterly. "Should have known, I guess. Baka. I'm a baka alright." She continued to berate herself for being such an idiot that she had married Tomo. She was about to wallow up in depression again when an image flashed in her mind. It was an image of a young teenage boy smiling so confidently that it bordered on conceited. His wavy black hair was tied in a pigtail and he wore a loosely tied white gi. Her eyes flashed once again but this time instead of sadness or anger at herself it was confidence. "Why should I be angry at myself? I did nothing wrong. Nothing. He did. I am not going to go into deep depression like I did all those years ago. No way. This time, I will live on and I will live happily." She closed her hand into a fist. Determination was obvious in her eyes. "I have friends and people who care about me. I will not disappoint them." She dried the tears from her face as she smiled. It was a smile of hope. She took the pin that held her hair in a bun and let her long hair fall. Her black hair fell all the way down to her waist. "Time for some changes." +++++++++ Dan looked over the papers on the front desk. It was late evening, around nine o' clock and it was pretty slow. He lifted his head from his position and scanned the area in front of him. It was the lobby and only two or three people were lounging around either bored or waiting for somebody. He sighed. When it's busy you wish that it were slow and now that you've gotten your wish you want it to be busy again. He scolded himself. So lost in thought Dan didn't hear the light tapping of heels coming towards his way. He blinked and looked up when a smooth hand waved in front of his face. "Oh, Aino-san. Sorry about that, I was sort of out of here..hehe." Reiko nodded. "No problem. Dan, I want to check out a deluxe room complete with room service. Finally there is a chance to use my employee's special discount card huh?" Dan stared at the person he thought he knew in front of him. "Umm...Aino-san? If you don't mind me asking, why are you checking out a hotel room? You do have a home..." What in the world is going on? He thought. He got his first real look at his boss. She was wearing her usual business suit and short heels. Her black hair was tied in her trademark bun. The only difference was the one medium size suitcase that she held in her left hand. The raven woman in question sighed as she heard Dan's question. It was inevitable after all, she told herself. "Let's just say that I want a vacation and time away from Tomo." Hmph, she scowled inwardly. That is one understatement! I don't want to have anything to do with that-that-that...lowlife evil lying jerk! Dan blinked again but nodded uncertainly. "Oh, I understand." Yeah right, he yelled in his mind. I don't understand at all! He never let out a single sigh of his real thoughts; neither did Reiko for that matter. He turned away from her and took out one of the hotel keys from the large drawer. "Here you go, Aino-san." Reiko smiled and took the key from his hand. Holding her suitcase she walked towards the elevator. She pressed the up button and waited patiently for her stop to come. A resounding ding was heard and she stepped into the elevator. The elevator was quite spacious and she smiled at the couple that walked in after her. The couple smiled back as the handsome male pressed the button for level 10. She pressed the button for her floor, 5 and leaned against the mirror behind her. As the elevator door closed she absently thought about how she had to change that 'Aino-san' part of her name. +++++++++ Reiko dropped her suitcase on her bed and observed her temporary 'home.' It was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Definitely a five star hotel's worth. She grinned and opened her suitcase. Now, she thought, let's unpack first and then shower. She did not bring much mostly because she didn't want anything that was related to the bastard. Her only belongings were several outfits, shoes, very little make up, toiletries, three new towels (eww..the thought of using the same towel as Tomo again...) and hair accessories. Even those were very little. She smiled. No worry, I'll fix that very soon. She picked out her plain blue pajamas and a towel and walked towards her bathroom. Closing the door she took off her clothes. Her bathroom was very fancy looking. She had a huge tub with beautiful white curtains and expensive tiles on the floor. There was a large mirror and a wide place to put on her make up. She walked over to her bathtub and turned on the water. The hotel did not have a furo like some old fashioned Japanese house but she was used to it. After drying off her hair she turned off the light. Getting into her soft bed she sighed happy as she laid down. The day's events caught up to her and she fell into deep sleep. +++++++++ Reiko whistled happily as she drove to the mall district. Parking her car in the parking lot she took her purse from the car and locked it. What should I do first? She thought. Clothes, definitely clothes. She looked at what she was wearing and wondered what ever made her buy so many of them. She was wearing a business suit like yesterdays. I have so many of them that I won't even need to do the laundry for a week just wearing them! She sighed and walked into a fashion store. "Hmm...What should I get?" She mumbled to herself. She thought about what she had and made up her mind. "I'm going to get some clothes that are totally different from what I'm wearing now. I'll buy some work clothes but less formal like what I'm wearing..or at least not like anything I'm wearing!" A teenage girl about nineteen walked over to her. She smiled and asked if she needed any help. "Yes, please. I would like to know what are your newest fashions?" The sales girl nodded and led her to the place with all the clothes she needed. Reiko thanked the girl and picked out several outfits. Taking a few she went into the dressing room. She changed into one of the clothes she picked. It was a beautiful white dress that went down to her ankle. It was sleeveless and had off white flowers. She walked out of the dressing room to look in the mirror outside. Michelle gasped as she saw Reiko wearing the white dress. Talking softly to herself she admired the lady, "Wow...she's beautiful. She really did a job on hiding her figure with those horrible clothes!" Smiling she went and picked out several more of the latest fashion that she just knew would match Reiko. Reiko smiled at what she saw. "I guess I haven't lost my touch with my sense of fashion. I just totally forgot about them when I was married to that jerk." She turned around as she saw the sales girl standing behind her with a bunch of outfits. Michelle smiled broadly holding up the clothes she just picked. "I just thought that you should try these clothes. I'm sure that you will look absolutely stunning in them!" Although, she added silently, something about your hair is off. It doesn't seem like black is your natural hair color. She decided to wisely keep that to herself since she didn't want to upset her customer. Little did she know just how right on target she was. Reiko laughed and thanked the girl, who she just found out was named Michelle thanks to her nameplate. Going back into the dressing room she tried on the clothes she just acquired. It continued with her trying on one of the outfits she got and showing it to Michelle who would tell her if it matched her or not. Usually she would just praise Reiko on how great she looked. Reiko waved good bye at Michelle as she walked out of the store. She carried tons of bags filled with clothing. Thank God I don't share a bank account with him, she thought relieved. Or else, I'd probably lose them all. She walked around the district and noticed many things that she never looked at before. Back then she was so depressed that everything and everywhere she went was dull and bleak. Then after marrying Tomo, she had put all of her time into her work at the Yamada hotel. Everything now seemed so much more full of life and..ahh..she sighed. Life was good. She walked by several more stores and made a silent note to go back to them after she finished her next job. She checked the map on the board in the middle of the mall. The mall was beginning to be like those in America and they had even place a map telling where the customers were and where the different stores were. There was a bright red spot that read 'You are here' and an arrow pointing to a location on the map. "Hmm..." She mumbled as she scanned it for the store she was looking for. "Aha!" She exclaimed as she found the store. She read the directions and started walking to her right. Joe smiled and waved good bye at another one of his usual customers. Shooting the girl at the counter a handsome smile he walked back into the store. Today was kind of slow for him. The other barbers were quite busy and it was only him that didn't work hours nonstop. He sighed. A ding was heard as another customer stepped into the store. Hopefully this new person or persons would be his next customer. He smiled broadly and greeted the raven-haired woman. This is a natural beauty! He thought inwardly. Reiko smiled at the barber and replied to his greeting. "Very nice to meet you too. I would like to do something with my hair... is there someone who is available?" She looked around and saw several barbers busy with their current customers. "I presume that you are available?" Joe nodded and showed her to her seat. She sat down and he asked her. "So what would you like to do with your hair, Mam?" Reiko looked straight at the mirror in front of her seeing the barber standing behind her. "I would like to get my natural hair color back so do you have something that will get this dye out of my hair?" She turned around to face...Joe. She saw his name on the nametag that all the workers had on. Joe nodded, inwardly wondering why in the world did she dye her hair in such a boring color..black. He did not speak out loud though. "Yes we do. Hold on for a moment." He walked away from Reiko and got his working supplies. Reiko laid back as he started to work on her hair. He was very surprised when he saw just exactly what her natural hair color was. Bright red. Reiko heard his gasped and smiled slightly. People were always amazed at my red hair, she thought. Her smile faltered as she remembered just the reason why she dyed her hair. Guys had always hit on her due to her unique hair color. They seemed to be attracted to her fiery red hair. It had hurt, hurt a lot to be attracting guys' attentions. She couldn't do anything with her gender but she could modify her appearance. She had dyed her hair black after the first two weeks of being stuck as a girl. She also never wore anything that was close to feminine. She couldn't bear to lose even her last ounce of masculinity. So she always wore the most unfeminine clothes and was very, very violent towards any sort of romantic attraction guys had for her. +++++++++ Joe waved good bye at the former raven-haired woman. "Wow.." He whispered. "Who would have known she had red hair? Now, she looks perfect. Her natural hair color does complement her dearly. The black hair just seemed to take away some of her natural beauty..." He watched as the woman with fiery red hair walk away from the Beauty Parlor. +++++++++ At the Yamada Hotel... Every where whispers were heard. The main topic, Reiko Aino. Dan had mentioned to a big mouth friend of his about Aino-san renting a room and to his horror, his friend had told some of the people who loved to gossip. Now everyone was talking about Aino-san, the one with the best husband and best relationship ever, and the rapidly spreading rumors were getting more and more exaggerated. At first people talked about how Aino-san had a fight with her husband and moved out. Then it went worse. Someone said that she was having an affair with someone. Another said that she was running away from her husband. It went on and on and on. Dan sighed, his face scrunched up with worry and anxiety. Maybe it was due to waiting to see what Aino-san was going to do to him. Maybe it was due to his guilt for telling Felix, the big mouth of a jerk. Or maybe it was due to the angry daggers that Reiko's female employees were giving him. "Come on you guys, I'm sorry already! I really didn't know that Felix was going to tell everyone and that the rumors were going to get so exaggerated!" Alex and the others did not stop glaring. The blonde woman snorted. "Sssurreee, you didn't know... it just happens that everyone in the building knows that no secret is safe with Felix...." Dan sweated. "I was tired yesterday night, okay? I honestly was just talking out loud and Felix just happened to stand there!" His face was growing frustrated. Alex sighed and signaled the others to stop. "Fine, but what are we going to tell Reiko? It really wasn't any of our business if she wanted a vacation or spends the night in the hotel. She is not going to be happy about this." She rubbed her temples, feeling a major migraine coming soon. Dan sighed heavily. "I know..." Poor Aino-san, he thought sadly. What did she do to deserve this? Me and my big mouth. He sighed again. "Did you know that sighing so much would make you old?" A familiar voice said. The two of them whirled around, expecting to find an angry Reiko. Boy were they surprised. A beautiful flame haired woman was standing before them. Her long red hair was braided loosely. She wore a white blouse and a long blue skirt that fell down to her ankles. Her bright blue eyes were twinkling in amusement as she watched them, mouth agape. She laughed, sounding like little bells. "What's wrong with you, don't remember your boss?" An image of Reiko flashed in their mind and it was unmistakable that the beauty before them was her. Her voice and her eyes were definitely Reiko's. "REIKO?!?" "AINO-SAN?!?" She said it so innocently that no one would have known that she was thinking up some kind of mischief..except that her eyes betrayed her. "Is something wrong with my appearance?" Her eyes twinkling in amusement she pretended to check her clothes and her hair for anything that was off. "Nope, everything's fine to me." Silence. It was the quietest that floor number 21 had ever been. There was always whispers or laughter occupying the floor, but not now. Not today. They were all quiet and all staring at the transformed Reiko Aino. Then they all snapped back as they heard a confused but irritated voice. "What's going on here?! Get back to work, we don't got all day. And where the heck is Reiko?!" Nobuyuki stared at his employees in confusion as they, in ominous unison, pointed at the stranger standing in front of Alex and Dan. He looked unsure as he walked closer to the redhead lady. How could she be Reiko? He thought. She's not a redhead last time I checked! She smirked as she felt 'Nobu-chan' walk up closer to her. She waited until the very last minute and turned around. She laughed at his expression. Awed and shell-shocked. "What is it Nobu-chan? I'm here, so you don't need to yell." He stumbled. There was no way that the beauty before him was Reiko but it was her. What did she do?! Get a total make over, fashion sense, and a flirty attitude? "Um..." He didn't know what to say. He needed to get out. Now. "Get back to work!" The quiet workers started working immediately and he practically ran out the room. "How odd." She said trying to hold back a giggle. This is fun! +++++++++++ Well..maybe not THAT fun.. Reiko pouted. "Are you guys done staring?" "Nope." Came a teasing response from Alex. "Dan, if you don't stop staring then I'm going to punch you." Dan coughed as he looked away from the redhead. "Sorry." He couldn't believe how much she changed. She was like a totally different person. She never threatened to punch anyone before! Reiko laughed. "It's okay. I suppose I just can't help being too beautiful." She pretended to pull out a compact mirror and admire herself. Dan laughed and Alex playfully hit her arm. "Oh you're so full of yourself." "Am I?" Reiko asked thinking about the question. "Hmmm..maybe...I don't know...am I?" "Of course not! I was just kidding!" Alex stared horrified. She didn't mean it like that! She was just kidding... Reiko smiled. "I know, so was I." "Hey!" "Aino-san...if you don't mind me asking...what brought this sudden change?" He stared at his hands nervously. He really didn't want to be punched. Why he, a large and strong man, was afraid of a petite woman was unbelievable. Yet, there was something about her that made him rethink testing if he was stronger than she was. Reiko's teasing mood faded. Her visage darkened slightly as she remembered what brought about her change. Her voice dropped several degrees. "Let's just say that I don't want to be the same 'Aino-san' from before." Dan and Alex exchanged worried looks. What happened? "Reiko.." Alex started saying gently. Reiko flashed her a smile. "Don't worry, Alex." She turned to Dan. "I might as well tell you now. You should stop calling me 'Aino-san' okay? Call me either Reiko or, if you really want to, Sakura-san." "Why?" Dan covered his mouth with his hand as soon as his words left his mouth. Alex flashed him a murderous look. Reiko laughed slightly. Looks like I'm not the only person who used to have the foot-in-the-mouth-disease. "Well-" Before she could explained a loud entrance of a certain player of hers interrupted her. "REIKO!!" Reiko stiffened, as her light smile became an evil smirk. "Looks like you will find out why now." Tomo scanned the room as he looked for his wife. Where is she? He thought frantically as he tightened his grip on the documents in his hand. As hard as he tried, he couldn't find her. All he saw were her co-workers and a redhead. No raven-haired, old fashioned, and definitely unsexy Reiko Aino. "What are you doing here?" He snapped his head towards the direction of his wife's voice. He expected to see a nervous and still full of love for him Reiko but that wasn't what met his eyes. What met his eyes was a drop-dead gorgeous redhead that had an unquestionable resemblance to Reiko. A more detailed glance made him realize that the goddess before him WAS Reiko. His eyes widened as his jaws dropped. Reiko repeated her question as she glared unnerving at him. There was no love in her eyes and definitely no sign of being nervous. "What are you doing here? You aren't welcomed." The staff had all stopped working and stared at the 'couple.' "Uhh.." Tomo wiped his forehead with a handkerchief. "You aren't serious right, Reiko?" "Serious about what?" Alex queried confused. Tomo hid the papers in his hand and tried to act like nothing was wrong. "Nothing!" Reiko smirked. No one noticed the slight glow her right hand became as it was powered with ki. With a swoop of her hand, the papers in Tomo's hands flew out of his tight grasp and onto the floor. Basically everyone in the room except the Ainos all rushed forward to read it. Dan's eyes widened, as did everyone's. "DIVORCED?!!" came the combined shout. All eyes swerved from the divorce document to a nervous Tomo then to an indifferent Reiko and back to the paper. "I repeat, what are you doing here? I have already signed the paper and we are no longer married whether you like it or not." She glared at her ex-husband and put her hands on her hips in the traditional way girls all do. "B-but..Reiko..I know you love me and..can't we talk this over?" Tomo pleaded. He didn't want to get divorced from her, not when she changed so much! She was absolutely sexy! Reiko snorted. "Talk this over? You must be delusional, Tomo. I have nothing to say to you after you practically went behind my back to have an affair with that hussy." Alex gasped, as she looked concerned at her friend. I can't believe it! Tomo sweated as he could feel the glares from all the people in the room. One glance around confirmed his feelings. The men in the room, of all ages, had their hands crossed and were looking quite menacing. The women, oh my God, were all in the same posture as Reiko. Their eyes promised endless pain. "You have one last chance. Go now or else..." Her tone was cold and there was not one ounce of love for him in it. Tomo did not want to know what would happen to him if he had protested but he had to try one more time. Besides, getting a divorce meant that he would have to split his money with her. "I'm really sorry. Can you forgive me? I promise that I will love you forever." "Suit yourself." With that said she smirked evilly as she glided up to him. "Tomo, Tomo, Tomo." She tsked and, to her co-workers' amazement, lifted him up with one hand. His eyes were wide with fear and surprise as she casually walked to the elevator. Pressing the button, she threw him into the elevator. She walked inside and the elevator closed. Alex and the rest of the workers stared perplex at the door. Several minutes later the elevator door opened. A smiling Reiko walked out as she dusted her hands. Before the elevator closed for a second time they saw a battered and unconscious Tomo lying on the floor. They blinked and stared at Reiko. They were not surprised that Tomo was beaten up since he deserved it but they were surprise that she was able to do that so easily especially since she never seemed like the violent type. Then again, they thought, she never had her husband sleep around with other women behind her back before either. Still... "Scary." Whispered Ling Ling as she held Alex's hand tightly. They all nodded. ++++++++ Two days later... "I can't believe how different you look and act. It's like you're a totally different person! How did you manage to make yourself look so young?" One of Reiko's eyebrows twitched as she stared at Alex's eager face. "LOOK so YOUNG? What do you mean by THAT? I'm only two years older than you are, Alex!" The blonde girl sweatdropped. "..Really? I didn't know that..." "Yes, REALLY. I'm only twenty-four you know." Reiko sighed as she watched Alex and her other friends blush. "You really didn't know?" She got her answer when they all nodded. Oh brother, she thought. "Sorry." Alex said sheepishly. Gosh, she thought. "I always thought that she was at least a decade older than we were. Who'd have known?" What Alex didn't know was that she had said her thoughts out loud. "Well, for your information Alex-chan," the irritated redhead started out sweetly. "Just because I'm your boss doesn't mean that I'm a DECADE older than you are. I just happen to be here longer than you have and have more experience." "Ah.." Alex sweated. Whoo boy. ++++++++++ Reiko shook her head as she walked on the streets in the Tokyo district. That Alex, she's so silly. Still, she thought, life would have been pretty dull without her. It's nice to have a true friend even though she thinks that I am a decade older than she is. Oh well, I guess I haven't been totally honest with her. Besides, I can't blame her since she wouldn't have been rude enough to ask me how old I was. I must have done a pretty good job on myself to make me look like an old hag. She glanced around and looked at the paper in her hand. Now, where is that dojo I saw a while ago. Hmm.. She glanced around some more as she tried to figure out where she had last seen it. Without knowing it, she was attracting a lot of people's attention. She did look pretty odd wearing a brand new gi and holding a sheet of paper. She had tied her hair in her traditional pigtail just like before but it was a lot longer. To strangers, she did not look like a formidable fighter with her small frame. They had no idea how much power she contained. That is until now... She had finally remembered where it was and started looking for the right street to cross so that she could find it. It had been a while since she had been in a dojo and working out. Let's see, she thought. Saikin Street is north so.. She was so deep in thought trying to figure out which direction to go that she did not see the burglar run from across the street. Nor did she see the big fat lady chasing after him yelling, "THIEF!!" She turned north down Saikin Street and then turned right and then... The pedestrians stared amazed at the sight before them. A young lady holding a piece of paper was looking for a dojo. That was nothing unusual. The unusual thing was that she was unconsciously beating up the burglar that had unfortunately gotten in her way. While she was concentrating on reaching her destination she was walking back and forth all the while kicking and stepping on the burglar. She did it so casually that it looked like it was on accident, which was oddly accurate. Every time when it seemed that the burglar would be able to get away from her she would say, "Oops, wrong direction," and walk back coincidentally recapturing him. After several more minutes she suddenly lifted her arm and pointed to her left. "Yes! I found it!" Happy that she finally got the right place she started hopping up and down. Too bad the thief was underneath of her. Then with a kick, which she meant as lifting her foot to scratch an itch, the burglar was sent flying into the air. Amazingly, the direction the thief was sent to was to the police station. Finally knowing where the dojo was, she walked happily to it ignoring the stares. A little child stared in awe at the retreating back of Reiko. He clapped his hand and voices the thought that all of the people present felt. "Wow." ++++++++++ Reiko smirked. Finally, I found the dojo. Jeez..she sighed a bit, that took a while. She glanced at the outside of the dojo and smiled, walking in. ++++++++++ "Ah! So you have come for a match have you? Well, Miss Sakura, you have sure met your match. Too bad such a beautiful flower like you would be defeated so soon.." Reiko stared incredulous at the arrogant man before her. Defeated?! ME?! He doesn't even know what I can truly do and he...that's it! HE'S DEAD MEAT! ++++++++++ Two minutes later, the students from the Istendia dojo scrambled out of the redhead's way. Reiko walked out indignant without sparing a glance at the bruised and pummeled man. ++++++++++ "A match you say?" Reiko nodded her head, a bit paranoid at what the woman would say. This was her third match and hopefully, the sensei was not like the other two. "That's a pity. I was hoping you would say you came here for a cup of tea or something." The blonde lady shook her head sadly. "Too bad, I guess after this match you won't be staying for tea since you, like the other seventy-five or so challengers did, will probably be mad at your defeat." The older lady tsked and Reiko's eyebrow twitched. ++++++++++ Reiko fixed her eyes on the dojo sign. This had better be a better dojo with a WAY better dojo sensei. This is the last dojo in the whole town. It read the Shinkari School of Martial Arts. The dojo was quite large and had a traditional look to it. She wondered if the sensei was anything like her previous opponents. She frowned slightly at the thought of more bigheaded martial artists. Hopefully he or she would prove to be a worthwhile opponent. She shrugged and casually knocked on the gate (what's there not to be casual about?) She did not have to wait long before she was answered. A young man opened the door and she smiled at him. "Good afternoon, I'm Reiko Sakura and I was wondering if I could have a sparring match with the sensei here? If he is not busy of course." She bowed halfway. The young man smiled back at her. "He is a bit busy now teaching a class but it is almost over so you can wait for a little while for your match." "Thanks Mr. er-" "Just call me Li." He moved aside and she walked in. "Thanks Li." The inside of the dojo was quite large she found out. She sat down on the sidelines with several other people who she did not know. The turned to look at her and then focused their attention back on the teacher and his students who were on the dojo floor. Interesting, she muttered silently. The sensei turned out to be a rather young man, possibly several years older than she was but she was not sure. He was well built as was expected from the master of a martial arts dojo. His light brown hair was short and neat and wore a worn out gi that indicated that he was definitely not a rookie. He could be a good sparring partner she concluded, happy that she might not have to hold back MUCH. And just maybe, she added, just maybe he won't be like the others. There's always hope, right? Ten minutes later, the students all bowed to the man. She figured that the class had just ended. As the students all filed out into the changing room, several of them glanced at her. Some had more than a glance and whispers began. The man cocked his head as his ears picked out his student's whispering. He turned to look at Reiko, noticing her for the first time. Li glanced back and forth between the man and Reiko smiling slightly. He walked up to the sensei and whispered to him about her challenge. To Reiko's acute hearing, however, his whispering seemed like speaking clearly over a microphone. Reiko elegantly stood up from where she sat on the sidelines. She met the man half way and stopped in the middle of the dojo. "Sakura Reiko." She held out her hand and the man shook it. Grinning arrogantly, the man's smile would have caused any girl to swoon as her heart fluttered, but then again, Reiko wasn't any girl. She didn't even bat an eyelash as she smiled slightly in greeting. "Shinkari Joe, nice to meet you." He looked her up and down, assessing her skill level and...checking her out. (What'dya expect?) "I see that you have come for a match Sakura-san?" Reiko nodded. "Yes, but call me Reiko. I don't like formalities anyway, they are always such a bore." "Yes." Joe nodded and they both went to their respective end of the dojo. "I accept your challenge." He fell into a martial arts stance and she found, to her disappointment, that it was not quite...unique... But anyway, she ignored that and figured that his fighting was probably better and hopefully very challenging. Joe stared confused for a moment when Reiko did not immediately go into a stance. All she did was stand there casually with her hands behind her back, an eager look on her face. It was either that she was very confident in her abilities or that she did not know anything about martial arts. Oh well, he ignored it and waited for his assistant to call out begin. Despite being the assistant, Li actually had more experience than Joe did. He saw immediately that Reiko was more skilled than she seemed. Her relaxed stance proved that she could attack and counter Joe's moves in an instant. It seemed that today Joe's ego and confidence was going to be his downfall. He guiltily thought that it was about time someone brought him down a peg or two. "BEGIN!" He brought his hand down and the match began. Joe smirked at Reiko and he charged forward to attack Reiko thinking that she would be an easy opponent. Reiko did not move as he charged and for a brief moment before he threw a punch towards her midsection he was afraid that she would get hurt badly. He was surprise to see Reiko blur and his attack miss terribly. Reiko frowned. "Stop holding back or are you really that strong only?" She could tell that the man was holding back, just like the others. That is, before the others found out about her true skill and started to take her seriously. Joe's smirk vanished as he growled softly. "Why you?!" He moved faster as he threw a punch kick combo at the redhead. Reiko just merely dodges as if she did not bother to take him seriously, which was actually the truth. He threw a snap kick at her head and she just moved her head back. When he leaped up to rain down punches at her she casually blocked all of his attacks. Reiko knew that Joe had realized that she was no ordinary person but for some reason he had refused to believe that she was not going to be beaten by him. It was disappointing that so far every martial artist sensei she had challenged was over confident and big headed. She sighed and stared, one of her eyebrows raised at Joe's foolish attempts to hit her. Joe gritted his teeth. "That's it, I'm not holding back anymore! I'm tired of this and I am going to defeat you!" He charged forward, intent on defeating her. "Idiot." She muttered. Oh well.. "OW!" Li winced. "Yow!" That looked like it hurt quite a lot. Reiko sniffed. "You are not a totally bad martial artist, Shinkari-san, but you really need to work on your attitude. You should not judge before you actually know a person's true strength." Joe refused to acknowledge her advice and, knowing that fighting her would be futile, he settled for glaring at her. Reiko eyed him, irritated. "You are an ungrateful one." "Yes, and I apologize for that, miss." She whirled around to face the source of the voice. It was an elderly man. He did not seem like anything dangerous but she knew better than to judge a person by their appearance. Besides, she had just told Shinkari that so it would be embarrassing to fall for her own lecture. "You are...?" "Yes." The man chuckled. "Sorry for not introducing myself. I am Michael Shinkari, Joe's father." "Oh." She nodded her head understanding. "I'm Reiko Sakura, it's nice to meet you Shinkari-san." She bowed slightly. He shook his head. "Oh, no. Call me Michael, Sakura-san." "And you can call me Reiko, Michael." Joe sputtered indignant. "But father! Why are you apologizing to her?!" Michael fixed a look on him. "Son, I am apologizing for your shameful actions. A real martial artist does not boast and is humble with their abilities, to some extent. You have boasted, judged before truly finding out the truth, and stubbornly refused to believe that this young lady here is more skilled then you are." Joe hung his head and Michael sighed. "I just can't leave you with the dojo for more than two days before you get in trouble can I? How am I suppose to give you this dojo if you don't deserve it?" Reiko watched the exchange silently. So this man was the actual owner of the dojo. She smiled. It was nice to know that at least ONE dojo master was worthy of the title 'a martial artist.' Everyone else were all hypocrites and over confident fools. "I guess that I'll be going now, Michael. It was nice meeting you." Michael nodded and Reiko shook his hands before walking out of the dojo. She saw Li outside sweeping the yard. Just before opening the gate to leave the place she offhandedly remarked to the boy, "Maybe next time I'll challenge you instead. I know that you are a great martial artist and try not to be too humble. One can only stand so much." With that she left leaving behind a open mouth Li. +++++++++ She walked in leisure pace as she thought about the lack of professional martial artists. How could Japan have so many fake martial artists? It was a downright shame that there could not be a single good dojo around the hotel. She should be finding a home soon. Preferably somewhere with tons of decent dojos. She glanced around her surroundings. She was kind of hungry and where could she find a place to have a snack now? Hmm...Her eyes went from store to store until finally stopping at one particular one. It read, 'Dino's Ice cream.' Yum, she thought. Ice cream. She sauntered over to the store happy at her findings. Ten minutes later she walked out holding an ice cream cone. She slowly licked her strawberry cone, enjoying the tasty treat. In no time she had finished her cone. She wandered around the town to see if there was anything she should buy. So far there were just a bunch of fashion clothes and furniture stores. Her eye caught a look at a store she did not want to see. Inside the store she was staring at were various wedding clothes. Out in front for display was a picture of a happy couple in their wedding clothes. Something in her chest tightened as she turned away. It brought back too many hurt memories. Of dreams dashed and two years of lies. ++++++++++ She continued to stroll around the town, far away from the 'store.' She stopped and smiled at what was inside. Yes, just what I need. She walked into the store called 'Martial Arts Haven.' Going down the aisles of the large store she smiled at the clothes on the racks. Chinese clothes. She picked out several different colors of the Chinese blouses, some sleeveless, some with long sleeves. She bought several beautiful Chinese dresses with long slits that provided her the room to maneuver in fights. They were awfully revealing but it didn't bother Reiko much. She grabbed several arm braces. They were just perfect. She went to the cashier and paid for her items. ++++++++++ A tall handsome man walked into the Martial Arts Haven store. He looked at the clothes and various items in the store, taking some. A bandanna held his dark hair and Ryouga Hibiki glanced around for more of the things he needed. He carried a rather heavy looking pack on his back. A red haired woman brushed past him as she went out of the store. He stopped walking. She was already gone by the time he turned around to look at her. He stared at the entrance confused. A young lady saw the redhead walking out of the store and didn't look twice at her. She did not know the woman. Entering the store she stood next to Ryouga. He was so deep in thought that he didn't see her. After several minutes of calling his name, he turned to look at her. "Oh, sorry. What did you say?" He asked a bit sheepish. The dark haired girl sighed. "I said who were you staring at." "Oh...It's just that the lady that just walked out looked kind of familiar...but oh well it's nothing." He stratched the back of his head. Akane Tendo stared at her friend and shrugged her shoulders. "If you say so.." End Chapter Three. +++++++++ Author's Notes: So whatcha think? Getting up from her work seat she walked to her friend who was currently burying her head behind a stack of newspapers. Standing behind Reiko and glancing at what she was reading, Alex blinked. "You're looking for a home?" "Yeah." "Oh." Alex stared at the section Reiko was looking at. "Why are you looking for a home in NERIMA?" Reiko smirked. "Cause." "Cause?" She shrugged. "Seems like a nice place." "SEEMS LIKE A NICE PLACE?!!" The blonde girl yelled exasperated. "Yeah." "ARGH!" Alex screamed as she struggled NOT to pull her hair out. +++++++++ Reiko giggled as she thumbed through the pages of the Nerima house sections. Grabbing a map she scanned the area for dojos. Yes, she thought. There were many dojos in that area. Some were the Inidi Dojo, the Sineme Dojo, and.. the Tendo dojo? Interesting. Circling the house number she moved on to look for more choices. Behind her and way off to her right was Alex, a dazed look on her face. Dan stared confused at his co-worker, waving a hand back and forth in front of her face. He raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean 'she's crazy' and 'Nerima'?" "She'scrazyNerimashe'scrazyNerimashe'scrazyNerimashe'scrazyNerimashe'scrazyNerima." ". . ." +++++++++ "Yes, I will be taking this house. The check will be in your office by tomorrow." The realtor for the house that Reiko was buying stared at her in amazement. Never had someone chosen to buy a house, one as expensive as this even, in less than two minutes. Other people interested had always taken hours, the fastest at least forty minutes, to inspect the house. The beautiful redhead had just glanced on the exterior of the house and hardly even LOOKED at the rooms before turning around and telling him that she wanted the house. "Thank you, Ms. Sakura. When do you want 'your' house?" The man asked with a very grateful look on his face for an easy deal. "Today, if you don't mind. I will probably start buying the furniture very soon and move in by this week." Reiko commented, shrugging. "Okay." Giving her the keys he bowed slightly, which made a smile form on the redhead's face, and left the now Sakura home. Or shall he say Dojo. Reiko smiled as she looked around the large house. The dojo was huge which was perfect. Pretty soon she would be able to do what she had wanted for so long. The goal and purpose for all her training those years ago. The goal she had dropped nine years ago. She stood still in the empty house staring at a dull white wall. Moments of silence passed. More moments of silence passed. She sweatdropped. "What was I suppose to be doing again?" She blinked several times. "Oh yeah, a tour around Nerima and buying furniture." Her sweatdrop widened. *Author sighs. So much for that dramatic talk about goals and purposes. Feh.* +++++++++ She walked around the seemingly 'peaceful' neighborhood confused. The plan was to go to the nearest mall and buy the necessaries for her house. What she forgot was that she had no idea where the mall was. She WAS new to the neighborhood. She sweatdropped. Note to self, she thought silently. Buy a map of Nerima before attempting to buy anything else. "Oh well," She muttered. "Might as well wait. I should invite Alex and see if she wants to go 'shopping' with me." Her eyes widened suddenly. An old woman was limping on her right leg and was try to walk across the street. The poor lady, she thought. She rushed over to help the old lady. "Do you need any help getting anywhere, Ma'am?" she asked politely. It was be disrespectful otherwise. The old lady smiled grateful. "Yes, dear. I need to get to Dr. Tofu's clinic to check my leg. Clumsy me, I tripped this morning and gotten my leg hurt." Reiko nodded. "I can take you there if you would kindly tell me where his clinic is?" The old lady nodded. "Yes. The clinic is two blocks down the street and after taking a left turn, one more block North." "Okay." ++++++++++ Dr. Tofu sighed as he stared at the piles of paper in front of him. It was one of those spring cleaning days where he should reorganize his patient files, which was A LOT. He heard the door to his clinic slid open as the voice of one of his older patients, Mrs. Takuda, calling him. "Coming!" He yelled loudly as he stood up to go meet his patient. Uncharacteristically he thought, 'Yet another one of those boring patient check ups. Were have all those bloody and injured martial artists gone?!' +++++++++ As Reiko helped her in, the Mrs. Takuda called out, "Dr. Tofu? Are you in?" They both heard the doctor reply, "Coming!" Reiko glanced around the clinic. Orderly. White. Very white. Just as to be expected from a doctor. She turned her head as a tall man stepped into the waiting room. He had long brown hair tied in a ponytail and wore glasses. From a glance she could tell that not only was he a doctor, he was also an expert in martial arts. She blinked. What the? ++++++++ Dr. Tofu stepped out into the main waiting room and halted. Next to Mrs. Takuda was a beautiful redhead. She was just as beautiful as... His glasses fogged up and a goofy grin formed on his face. "K-k-kasumi!" ++++++++ Mrs. Takuda's eyes widened in horror as she saw the look on Dr. Tofu's face. It was a look she knew all too well, as did all of his patients. "Oh no! He's at it again!" The pain in her foot forgotten she jumped behind the kind girl who helped her for protection. "Uh..what is going on? Who is Kasumi?" Reiko asked, turning her head to face the frightened lady in confusion. "Kasumi is the kind girl that the doctor loves but can't seem to express his feelings too. Whenever he hears her name or sees her he goes into a trance that harms any person near him." She raised one of her eyebrows. "You have GOT to be kidding me." She looked into the glazed and goofy look on the doctor's face and shook her head. "Hmm..maybe not." She noticed that he was getting awfully close to them and from the way that Mrs. Takuda was shaking knew that it was a BAD thing. Reiko rubbed her temples and sighed. In a swift move she got behind the doctor and tapped his neck. Dr. Tofu blinked as his glasses cleared. "Huh?" Mrs. Takuda's jaw dropped and sounding a lot like her teenage son yelled out, "NO WAY!" Reiko smirked as she put her right arm over the man's shoulders. "So Dr. Tofu... I hear you have a slight problem with this Kasumi. Care to tell me about her? I may be able to help you." He blinked. He blinked again. She giggled. "Aw..Come on! Get in here!" She grabbed a baffled doctor into his examination room. Time for Operation Match Up! "HEHEHEHE!" ++++++++++ ". . ." Reiko's eyebrow twitched. When she had decided to help out the poor doctor she had not intended THIS response. She sighed and rubbed her temples again. "THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUOHTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!!" She rolled her eyes as the doctor continued to bow and thank her. Sheesh. All she did was help cure him of his crazy reaction to the presence of the Tendo girl. "Well you cut it out already?!" She yelled irritated. "THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!" "Oh brother!" A bright yellow piece of paper caught her eye. She picked it up and a beautiful smile formed on her face. "The Nerima Martial Arts Tournament?" This was her chance to meet some decent martial artists! "OHTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!" "SHUT UP!!!" ++++++++ Alex paused in her eating as someone flicked a flyer in front of her face. "The Nerima Martial Arts Tournament?" Reiko grinned. "Yup, it's this Tuesday at Nerima Center! Wanna go?" For the first time in years she felt like a little kid again. "I bought tickets!" She stared at the flyer uneasily. Nerima? "Uh..." She looked at Reiko. Oh why did she always able to do that? "Sure." She said weakly. "GREAT!" ++++++++ "Hehehehe..." Alex grinned. The other half dozen girls did not agree with Alex's enthusiasm. "How could you do this to us???" Ling Ling whined. "Hey, like Reiko said, 'cause Nerima Martial Arts Tournament seemed fun." "FUN?!! ARE YOU CRAZY?!!" She shrugged. "Depends on the situation." +++++++++ Ling Ling and the rest of Reiko's employees grinned and clapped their hands in glee. "Remind us to thank you for your brilliant idea Alex!" "Sure, no prob." Alex said as she stared at the answer that changed her co-workers' mind. "Ohhh...look at that guy's muscles! He's so hot!!" Handsome martial artists and beautiful single workers? Fun! +++++++++ After a while of staring at all the handsome martial artists for a while they went to sit down in their seats. While Ling Ling was munching on some popcorn she asked Alex, "Hey, where's Reiko?" Alex frowned. "I don't know, Ling Ling. She bought us these tickets and seemed very excited about this whole tournament so... I don't know.." She scanned the crowd and still no Reiko Sakura. She blinked as someone stood in front of her. "Reiko!" She jumped up and stared at what her friend was wearing. Reiko smirked as she stood in front of her gaping friend. She was wearing a white gi shirt with her sleeves rolled up and matching pants. Wrapped around her waist was a blue cloth and on both of her arms were black arm braces. The bottoms of her pants were tied with blue drawstrings and she wore black kung fu shoes. "I know you like martial arts since you insisted on coming here..but...why are you dressed like that?" Alex asked. Reiko sighed in mock frustration. "Don't you ever read the panel? The names of all the martial artists competing are in there." Alex blinked and in unison with all her co-workers opened the paper in their hands and... Eyes bulged and jaws dropped. In the section of the tournament fighters were the pairs who will be facing off against each other. 'CONTESTANT NUMBER 3 SAKURA REIKO AGAINST CONTESTANT NUMBER 7 TANABE AKIO.' "Oh my gosh!" They all shook their heads in unison. "No way!" Reiko nodded her head. "Yes way." "No way!" "Yes way." "No!" "YES!" They blinked and stared. Moments of silence. "COOL!" "You can FIGHT?!" "Wow." Reiko smirked. "Of course." She glanced at the clock on the wall in front of her. "The tournament is about to start. Cheer me on." Without another word she stepped away from them and went up to a large table to register. Her name was already set to battle against contestant number 7 but for some weird reason, they had to go register themselves. Complete weirdoes since they had already given the vital information when participating in the tournament. The man sitting behind the table looked up. "Name, miss." "Sakura Reiko." He nodded, writing down the information. "Age?" Her eye twitched slightly. "Twenty-four." "Height?" "Five feet six." She had grown taller from when she first gotten cursed and fill out much better, not that she hadn't at the time already. "Weight." "None of your business." She growled slightly. He sweatdropped. "Uh...style and dan?" "Master of Chinese Whu Shu, Tai chi, Tai Kwon Do, Akido, Ninjitsu...." She smirked as she continued listing all the styles she had mastered. His eyes widened. "You can't possibly be a master of all those schools of martial arts!" "Sure I can." ". . ." +++++++++ The crowd roared as a man walked and entered the ring the martial artists would be competing in. He held a microphone in his hand and it was obvious that he was the announcer. "Hello, ladies and gentlemen! I know you have all been waiting for this day and I promise you that we will not disappoint you. Today we have over thirty martial artists from all over Japan competing for the title of the Strongest Martial Artist in Japan!" He smiled and the crowd cheered. "Before we start, let's go over the rules. In order to win the person's opponent has to either be knocked out, sent out of the ring, or forfeit. Now that that's out of the way, let the show begin!" "First match: Tenoih Micah and Lee Joyce!" The cheering got louder as the two martial artists bowed and took their stances. Ryouga watched the battle as he stood with his friends. Akane smirked as she saw the large number of martial artists participating. She turned her attention away from them, though, when a voice questioned softly, "Tea, Akane?" She smiled as she accepted the tea from her sister. Kasumi Tendo was quite the traditional Japanese woman. Although she was not wearing a kimono presently, that did not make her any less. She was the sweetest woman in Nerima and possibly in the whole world. She never complained and if one had never tasted her cooking then they were missing a great thing. While Akane was wearing a white gi, Kasumi was wearing a light blue dress. She had long brown hair tied in a ponytail with a white bow. "I must say, sister, that you can definitely beat these martial artists here. They don't seem to be very good." Akane turned around smiling brightly. "Nabiki! You made it!" The brunette facing Akane smiled and she ran her hand through her short bowl-cut hair. She was wearing a tight green tank top and brown slacks. "You didn't think that I would miss your victory did you? Of course I'm here! It doesn't matter how busy I am at the office, I will always make it to occasions this important!" Akane nodded her head as she embraced her older sister. Nabiki had always been the greatest. Even though she had seemed like the mercenary girl to everyone in high school, Akane knew better. Nabiki had sacrificed a lot to support their family. After graduation Nabiki had gone to law school and was now currently one of the top lawyers of Japan. Her wit and experience in handling blackmail really paid off in her career. Nabiki and Akane were startled when a pair of strong arms wrapped around them and heard loud crying. "Father!" "Daddy!" They both exclaimed as Soun Tendo bursts into tears at the exchange before him. They shook their heads in embarrassment as he yelled, "My girls are growing up!! WAAAHH!!" "Now, now father." Kasumi said as she patted her father's back. "Tendo, stop immediately! You are going to embarrass our school!" Soun sniffed and stopped crying. He turned to face of his old friend. "But Saotome, my girls *sniff* are finally growing up!" Genma Saotome could only roll his eyes as he replied, "They are over twenty already! Of course they are grown up." Despite his sarcastic remark, Soun could tell that his friend was slightly jealous. Jealous of his family and their happiness. He stopped his childish behavior as he recognized the look in Genma's eyes. Complete and utter depression and self-hatred. He berated himself for making his friend sad. Why hadn't he been more sensitive towards what his friend felt? Although it has been many years ago, his friend Genma had never gotten over the guilt of what happened in China. Of what happened to his first child, Ranma Saotome. Ryouga and the Tendo sisters were quiet as they saw the depression around Genma. "Poor Mr. Saotome," Akane whispered softly while Nabiki nodded. Around them people cheered as Lee Joyce won the match. +++++++++ Not far away from the Tendos, Genma, and Ryouga were a certain group of individuals from China. The group consisted of three people, or two and some monkey. The supposedly only female of the group stood with her arms crossed a slight frown on her face. She had long violet hair that flowed to her waist. She had two buns on either side of her head and wore a long sleeve pink shirt and matching kung fu pants. A white cloth was tied around her waist. "Great-grandmother, why is Mr. Saotome so sad?" She asked to dried up mo-err..old lady. Cologne shook her head slightly. "It is because of the lost of his first son dear." Shampoo nodded her head in understanding. The third member of their party remained quiet, either from lack of anything to say or fear of saying something that would result with him being knocked unconscious before he could even fight his first match. He had thick glasses and long black hair fell to his shoulders. Both of his arms were in the sleeves of his white Chinese robes. +++++++++ "Now for our next match folks," the spokesman started, "is Sakura Reiko against Tanabe Akio!" The crowd roared, eager for another exciting match. Alex and the others jumped up in excitement. They watched as a huge man jumped into the ring confidently and they gasped. The man was gigantic! How in the world could Reiko defeat him?! Akio snorted as he saw his opponent. It was a small beautiful redhead. Before she entered the ring he spoke arrogantly, "Missy, you should forfeit already. I don't want to bruise your cute face." Reiko's eyebrows twitched. The angry frown on her face turned upside down as she smirked. She leaped from where she was into the ring, somersaulting in the air before landing. The crowd gasped. She had been at least three feet away and jumped twice that! "I don't think so buster." She said, causing the gaping man to growl. The spokesman sweatdropped. "Uhh..let the match begin!" Akio growled and charged to slam the little witch out of the ring. Seems that nothing was going to go according to his plan. Just as he was about to reach her, she dodged out of the way and twisted her body to send the large man flying out of the ring with a kick. The crowd was silent. Reiko had to be at least three times smaller than Akio but she had sent him flying over seven feet with a single kick. After the initial shock, Alex and the others whooped in joy. "GO REIKO!!! GO REIKO!!!!!" Their cheering snapped the crowd out of their shock and they cheered too. The only people not cheering were the Nerimians. Genma Saotome stared at the smirking redhead in shock. Soun stared at his friend with concern. "Saotome, Saotome! Are you alright?" Only one word came out of the large martial artist's mouth. "Ranma!" +++++++++ End Chapter Four. Ah to be in a tournament again, she thought to herself. Still, she frowned. That fight had not been satisfactory. She walked down the steps as her co-workers met her at the bottom of the arena. "That was fantastic!" Alex exclaimed. The others nodded as Reiko blushed. "Thanks guys." +++++++ Genma stared at the buxom redhead. "Ranma." he gasped out. He stepped forward to talk to his cursed son but a staff stopped him. He frowned. "Cologne, why are you stopping me? That is my son there!" The wizened lady shook her head. "No, that is a WOMAN there. A SAKURA women. Don't you see how SHE is acting? She's happy for kami's sakes! What was she feeling when you left her Genma? How do you think she will feel now to see the only family member she has known, the one who abandoned her in the time she needed you the most?! Don't you dare walk over there and ruin her happiness. Even and idiot like you can tell that she has finally grown to accept her curse and get on with her life. She has FRIENDS now!" Genma's head drooped at he elder's words. Cologne's eyes softened. "I still remember the first time she walked into our village. She was so sad, so very hurt. You could have practically seen the aura of darkness and depression around her! During the whole time she stayed in our village she never once talked as happily as she is now. The only time she talked was when we asked her a question. She loved the art I could tell, and she still does. She showed the most positive energy when she practiced the art." She put her hand on the martial artist's shoulder. "Genma, let her be. Be glad that she was not dead. Be glad that she is happy." Genma nodded slowly, his eyes staring wistfully at the redhead. Cologne sighed inwardly. The whole time she had been in Japan trying to teach Shampoo about the outside world she never thought that the poor cursed boy she had taught was related to Ranma Saotome. Genma could never get the strength to tell them more than what was necessary. Reiko, she thought, may you live in happiness. +++++++ Akane and Ryouga exchanged looks. "Ranma? Isn't Ranma a boy?" Akane asked confused. "Ranma was a boy but at Jusenkyou he was permanently cursed to be a girl. Genma abandoned hi..her and left for Japan." Akane and everyone else stiffened at Soun's explanation. "He WHAT?!" Akane yelled outraged. "How could he just abandon her like that?" Kasumi asked softly. Poor Ranma. Ryouga frowned as he guiltily thought about his previous grudges against Ranma. Sure getting knocked into the Spring of Drowned Piglet was bad, but what about getting permanently cursed? Ranma may have been a pain in the @$$$ but he was the reason why he met Akane, his love. "That was before." They all became silent as Soun continued to explain aggravated. "That was before and this is now. Genma has never forgotten Ranma and doesn't go through a single day without regretting his shameful actions. He loves Ranma and has been trying all these years to find her." Once again Akane whispered softly to Ryouga. "Poor Mr. Saotome. Poor Ranma." +++++++ Reiko smirked as she watched the next several fights. She had easily won her, which made the crowd cheer for her all the more loudly. Several others gained the crowd's support too. There was that man, Ryouga Hibiki. He seemed really good and very strong. +++++++ Ryouga yawns slightly as a huge Sumo fighter charges at him. Lazily he flicks his hand and sends the man flying out of the arena and into the wall. The Sumo fighter slumps to the ground leaving a crater and lots of spider web cracks on the wall. +++++++ Then there were the two Amazons. She wondered why there were here in Japan. Shampoo was skillful and so was Mousse, as was expected from the Amazon warriors. Idly she wondered if Elder Cologne was at the tournament but brushed the thought away. She was the matriarch of the Amazons, why would she be here? +++++++ Cologne sneezed from across the arena. She rubbed her nose. Maybe I am coming down with a cold. My old body isn't as strong as it used to be. She sighed. Oh the pains of old age! +++++++ Mousse surprised her though with his Hidden Weapons technique. Those two must have been away during her stay at Joketsuzoku. Then there was her. Akane Tendo of the Tendo School of ANYTHING GOES. Anything Goes, her style - no Ranma Saotome's style. She was no longer a Saotome. She was Reiko Sakura. Akane Tendo was fairly good, better than the average martial artist but certainly not the best. Her branch of the Anything Goes gave her an advantage over the others but if she guessed correctly then the Tendo woman had never lived on her own. Tendo was lucky or unlucky depending on the situation. Tendo was lucky to have never faced hunger and cold but she never got the experience of living off the land. The experience of cooking her own food, fighting for survival in the harsh weather, and fighting wild animals. It was obvious that she had some anger control problem. Anger could help you only if you got past the cloud of rage and learn to control it to your advantage. Otherwise, it would be your downfall. +++++++ Frustrated at her opponent's speed and the lack of her attacks connecting, Akane yelled in rage as she puled out her trusty mallet and slammed her dodging opponent to the ground. She sniffed slightly before walking off the arena. +++++++ The only real opponent she had was Ryouga Hibiki. She wondered why he looked so familiar. His entire outfit, the bandanna, red umbrella, and his small fangs were familiar. Where had she seen him? Oh well, it probably wasn't important. Then it was up to the last five fighters. Her opponent was the Tendo woman. A soft smile formed on her face as her eyes met the sight of her co-workers cheering wildly on the sidelines. They were so silly. It probably didn't help lesson her opponent's slight irritation when she continued to smile during their fight. The fact that she was dodging almost lazily never went unnoticed by her opponent. Reiko was so happy that she felt that nothing could make the smile on her face disappear. She had friends that were truly her friends. She smiled and dodged around her opponent's attacks with her arms behind her back. Life was good. +++++++ Akane's face was a mask of concentration as she tried to gauge 'Ranma's strength. A tap to her shoulder broke her concentration. "Yes, Cologne-sensei?" "Akane, no matter what you do or what your father tells you, you may not call Reiko by her previous name, Ranma. She isn't Ranma anymore and if you must call her by something, call her by her current name. It's Reiko Sakura and don't forget it. Do you understand?" Cologne smiled when her student nodded her head. "Good, now go try your best." Akane smiled and entered the arena. She didn't notice that her new teacher had told her to 'try' her best and not 'go win the fight' like she had said so in the previous rounds. ++++++++ Life was not good, Akane conceded as she breathed heavily. Reiko was a formidable fighter and she was probably better than Akane was. She should have known that Mr. Saotome's so-daughter was going to be a good fighter but she had stubbornly believed that she was better. After all, the elder of Joketsuzoku had taught her. What Akane didn't know was that Cologne had also taught Reiko and that was long ago. Reiko had a lot more experience and time to perfect her art. Akane had to remain calm just as her senseis had taught her. It was becoming increasingly hard but she could do it. She had been training for months to control her temper and she was definitely improving. She would remain calm and cool. Calm and cool. "Stop dodging!" Yeah right. ++++++++ Reiko just shook her head slightly at the Tendo heir's lack of control. She was getting mad and her attacks were starting to become sloppy. The girl had some training under an Amazon she could see from her assessment of Akane's techniques. Her rage was still proving to be her downfall. "You shouldn't be so angry, Tendo-san. You are getting sloppy." She hoped that her advice would cool her down and give her a more fair fight. Sadly, her words were like oil being thrown into a raging inferno. +++++++ Akane's eyes widened in anger. How dare she try to lecture me? I am Akane Tendo, the Heir of Anything Goes! "Argh!" She growled as she called her mallet into existence. She glowed dark red as she swung her mallet at Reiko. She blinked in shock when Reiko dodged her mallet and lightly touches the wooden hammer. "Bakusai Tenketsu." Akane was barely able to hear Reiko's soft words. Before she could react, her mallet had been blown into little pieces of wood. She was shocked to know that Reiko had also learned under an Amazon. So shocked was she that she didn't notice Reiko touch a shatsu point on her neck that rendered her unconscious. +++++++ Reiko sighed slightly at the Tendo woman. That woman still has a long way to go. After several minutes the announcer yelled out, "The winner of this round is Reiko Sakura!" The crowd started cheering and she smiled cutely back. "GO REIKO!!!" It was obvious to her who they were. "Thanks my friends." "GO REIKO!!!" "GO REIKO!!!" She stood next to her friends with her right eyebrow raised. "Uh.." "GO REIKO!!!" "GO REIKO!!!" "GO REIKO!!!" "Stop yelling! I'm right next to you!" She yelled at them. All her friends sweatdropped and grinned sheepishly. "Hehehe..." They were indeed her friends. Silly friends but she wouldn't have them any other way. She just wished they weren't so..embarassing.. "GO-" "Yell again and you will have a lot of work to do tomorrow." That silenced them. Silly friends indeed. ++++++ All the Nerimians, except for Cologne and Mr. Saotome, gasped in shock. Akane may have not been the best martial artist but she was good. Reiko had lazily won the match against her without any effort. "Akane lost..she is not going to be a happy martial artist once she wakes up." Everyone nodded at Nabiki's wise words. No kidding. +++++++ The next fight was Ryouga against Mousse. Ryouga being Mousse's opponent was both a relief and a disappointment to the Amazon warrior. Ryouga was better than Mousse and he knew it. The only amount of relief he allowed himself was the knowledge that he didn't have to fight with Shampoo. He would have lost either way. Mousse put up a good fight with Ryouga but all of his potty trainers and miscellaneous weapons weren't enough to stop the bandanna boy. Ryouga won by knock out. Next fight, Reiko against Shampoo. ++++++++ Shampoo held her bonboris in a defensive position as Reiko seemed to be in a relaxed stance. She knew that although the redhead looked like she was anything but ready, she was in fact more ready than those who took up active stances. Reiko would be hard to defeat. From the look her great-grandmother gave her she knew that she would probably lose. If she was going to lose then she would have as much fun as she could get before getting knocked out. And she did. +++++++ Reiko bowed back at Shampoo, a broad smile on her face. Shampoo smiled at her friendly before stepping off the arena. Shampoo was a much more formidable fighter than Akane and a lot more control too. She flipped her long pigtail as she smirked at her last opponent. Ryouga just stood with his arms crossed his face stoic. "Not a very cheerful guy is he?" She nodded at her friend's question. +++++++ "Ladies and gentlemen, for our final match, the one that will determine who is the strongest martial artist in Japan!" The crowd roared wildly. Reiko stood across from Ryouga with a smirk on her face while he remained in his previous position: arms crossed and face stoic. She wondered briefly what his problem was. Ryouga cursed the heavens for making his opponent a female. He was not as against fighting females as he had been before, Akane beat that out of him daily, but he still couldn't go all out with one. He was unnaturally strong and although he knew Ranma- no Reiko was no weakling, he was still worried about harming her. He heard the announcer yell out start and gritted his teeth. He should knock her out as painlessly as possible. Might as well get it over with. With that thought he charged at Reiko with a powerful combo. He was not too surprised when she dodged every one of his strikes barely. He grabbed his red umbrella and striked at her but she dodged again. After several more dodges Reiko stopped her defensive maneuvers and started retaliating. Ryouga stifled a gasp as she started moving at godly (or goddesslly) speeds. He was hard press to dodge and block her strikes. He wasn't fast enough to remain unharmed. He held his side lightly. He had gone through the Bakusai Tenketsu training from Cologne and if she had been able to cause pain then that meant that she was terribly strong. He was at a disadvantage. Not only was she strong, possibly stronger than he was, but she was fast. Her Anything Goes style left him more than slightly disadvantaged. He was familiar with the style from all the sparring he had with Akane and Mr. Saotome but that didn't prepare him for Reiko's other unfamiliar styles. She seemed to have either developed her own or trained under a master that he was unfamiliar of. That seemed very unlikely provided the travels and .. trips.. he went on. They started trading blows again and he found out his largest disadvantage. Her shiatsu knowledge. +++++++ The crowd was wild as Reiko was proclaimed the strongest of Japan. She blushed and returned the hugs her co-workers gave her. She glanced back at the..ahem..sleeping Ryouga before leaving the place with her friends, who were still cheering for her. +++++++ Reiko was walking to her new home with Alex when she remembered what she wanted to ask her friend. "Alex, when are you able to go furniture shopping with me?" Alex blinked and was about to answer when her cell phone rang. "Hold on." She whipped out her phone from her purse and pressed the button. "Hello, Alex speaking." Reiko waited patiently as her friend talked. She glanced at her confused when Alex frowned. "What do you mean I haven't paid? I've paid every single month on time!" Her frown deepened. "Five months? How could you say that I haven't paid in FIVE months?" Said frown deepened even more. "What it's not like some divine person just grabbed all of my rent money from your place!" Frowning wasn't what could describe her friend's face. More like scowling. "MOVE? Why you little... @$&%!" Reiko glanced at her friend slightly, very slightly, nervous at her furious face. They were at her home already. "What's wrong?" Alex's eyes looked at her and then around her. Then looked at her house and back at her. She stopped scowling, as something seemed to light up in her head. She didn't like the look in her friend's eyes. "Nothing. Reiko, you have to move. Move somewhere close to the hotel." Reiko stared at her confused. "Why? I just moved her and bought this house." Alex grinned as she started pulling her friend away from her home. "Oh nothing, just that this place is really far away from the hotel." "It's okay with me, I don't mind walking there." "Oh but I mind." "Why?" Alex smirked. "Because I'll be living with you. The owner to my apartment told me that I haven't paid the rent in five months, which is a bunch of bull I tell you. However, I figure that I can live with you and I do not want to walk THAT far to get to work." ". . ." Reiko sweatdropped as she was dragged out of Nerima. +++++ A lone figure stood on top of the building's rooftop. ("No this is not a beautiful and tall woman or man. Instead it is a rather dried up and short old mummy...Ah!" Cologne glaring at author and holding up VERY big sword. "DIE!") Cologne sighed softly. "Fate bought you to us and fate took you away again. Maybe someday fate will bring you back to us... maybe.." ++++++ Reiko shook her head confused. That was very odd. Why did Alex just get kicked out of her apartment and decide to live with her? Not only was she going to have a roommate but she was also going to have to move again. At least Alex promised to find a house for her that looked exactly like the one she had bought in Nerima. "She better..." Reiko mumbled softly. She stopped walking when a man landed in front of her. His back was turned to her and when he turned to face her she could see that he was surprised to see her. Surprised and a bit.. irritated? "Who the..?" Before she could finish asking him he suddenly sweeped her in his arms and leaped away. "HEY!" She yelled indignant before hearing a large boom where she had been standing. She glanced down shocked at the large black crater down below her. She growled slightly at the man holding her and beat him with her fists. "Let me GO! I can handle myself!" She frowned as the man stared at her incredulous. She was about to kick him in the face when he placed her on the ground again. "Just who do you think you are buster?!" She poked him on his chest with her finger. He gave her a slightly apologetic look. "Sorry, I'm Ryo Sazaki." "RYO!" He grimaced and she glanced behind her to see a silver dragon coming towards them. "What the..?" She repeated herself for the second time as the dark haired man, Ryo, stepped in front of her as if to protect her. "I don't need protection." She told him darkly. He smirked at her. "You're gonna need it." End Chapter Five. ++++++ Author's Notes: Yup finally finished it. Ryo Sazaki is suppose to be the main character of Gods of Honour but I have no idea what his name would be in English and I watched the series in Vietnamese, which isn't correctly translated. So..he will be altered a lot but most of his personality, powers, and enemies/friends would pretty much be the same. I hope you liked it.. it's really odd because I wasn't planning on making it anything but plain Ranma and for all of you who wanted to see Genma get beat up..sorry! Maybe later..hint hint. Please tell me what you think! I'm sorry if it seems like I changed my mind half-way through the story..because I did and.. She bristled slightly. "I doubt it." Ryo just shrugged as the dragon transformed into a handsome silver-haired man. "RYO!" The man in question turned to the dragon-man. "What now? I'm tired of your womanizing ways and I don't want to have anything to do with you. So why don't you just swim back into the ocean?" The dragon-man growled. "I'M tired of you interfering! You are a disrespectful weakling who doesn't know royalty when one is standing right in front of you!" The prince stepped forward advancing towards Ryo when a shoe hit him in the head. "Who?!" He yelled indignant. Both Ryo and the prince glanced at the source of the 'disrespectful offense.' "Me." Ryo blinked as he saw Reiko, now no longer standing behind him, with an irritated visage and her right hand raised. The dragon prince bit back his automatic response as he took in the beauty before him. "And who are you my beautiful goddess?" Reiko shook in anger as Ryo growled. The womanizing pervert is at it again! Before he could do anything Reiko stepped forward. "You were the one who almost blasted me huh? You have no sense of responsibility for those who could have gotten hurt!" The pervert wasn't even listening to her. He was ogling her! "..." She steamed. "DIE!" Ryo stared in shock as Reiko plummeled the dragon and raised her hand to throw an energy blast at him. "Don't let me see the either of you again or I will be sure to blast the two of you without a moment of hesitation." The furious redhead then jumped on the nearest roof and hopped away. Literally. Before Ryo could ask for her name she had disappeared. "Odd." He said quietly before turning around and disappearing into thin air. Literally. ++++++ "It can't be." A beautiful woman said quietly as she observed the one sided fight Reiko had with the dragon prince. "Can it?" "She is her." The woman snapped her head to face her male companion. "How?" "I don't know." "How do you know?" She asked urgently. He pointed behind her. She turned and nodded her head. The evidence was a white marble statue of a beautiful goddess who disappeared thousands of years ago. The face on the statue was that of a smiling Reiko. ++++++++ "Reiko." She looked up from inspecting Ling Ling's paperwork. "Yeah boss?" He coughed slightly and shuffled for a bit. This was going to be hard. "I've hired another employee." She nodded her head shrugging. Here came the hard part. "And his job is to be your bodyguard." Several minutes of silence and then a barely controlled angry voice, "W.h.a.t?" He gulped. "Well, Reiko you have only girls under your wing and they are all pretty. Someday or later some of our clients may make a move on you girls. It would be safer to have someone protect you girls." Reiko stepped up to him. "Are you saying that I, the strongest fighter in all of Japan, need a bodyguard?" He shivered slightly at her icy tone. "No, no. I'm just saying that it's better to be safe than sorry." She nodded her head reluctantly. "So where is Bodyguard-san?" "Sakazi-san, come in please." She turned her head and frowned immediately. "You." Her new bodyguard turned out to be the man, Ryo Sazaki, which she met a week ago. "He's so gorgeous!" All her female co-workers nodded their heads in unison while the male half fumed. She heard someone whisper not-so-quietly, "Now that's what I call buns of steel!" Her cheeks got slightly red, from both anger and embarrassment. "Girls." She snapped softly. They all quieted. "Sazaki-san." She said stiffly. He brushed aside her glare as he grinned handsomely at her. "It's Reiko. Reiko Sakura, isn't it?" She nodded her head. "Beautiful name." She frowned as all the other females sighed. "He fancies Reiko." A female said. "Who wouldn't?" Another replied. "Brave though he is, flirting with Reiko like that." A male said with awe clear in his tone. "No kidding." Her left eyebrow twitched again as she turned to stomp (elegantly) into her office. Ryo just grinned. "Hey, do any of you know a place where I can live? I've been staying at the hotel this past week." Alex grinned. "You can stay at my place!" He smiled. "Thanks." Suddenly Alex felt a slight shiver go up her spine as Reiko's icy voice asked her, "What do you think you are doing letting him stay at MY home, AYUMI?" Alex frowned. "My name isn't Ayumi! It's Alex." Reiko dropped her icy tone as she questioned her friend confused, "What is wrong with your Japanese name?" "It's not cool! It makes me sound... not me with the name Ayumi." "Oh." Her icy tone returned. "He's a lecher! Of all the people to let live in MY house you let the LETCHER live in it!" Ryo frowned indignant. "Hey!" Alex smirked. "He's a flirter." She pouted. "Besides I need the protection when you are away." Reiko frowned. "But he's a lecher." "Flirter, he seems nice." Reiko's frown deepened. "Fine." "YATTA!" The redhead sighed. +++++++ Reiko frowned. "Fine, I admit it. He's been... helpful with the 'well-behaved' clients." Alex smirked. "Hah! Told ya!" +++ Flashback 1 +++ "So Mikado-san, is this menu fine for your party?" Reiko asked her client showing him the menu for his party. He nodded his head while his lecherous eyes ogled her body. Her fake smile cracked slightly along with her female co-workers' as one of his hands began to stray towards her thigh. She was about to slam the menu on his head and break his hand when a hand stopped the lecher's. "Mikado-san," Ryo's falsely cheerful voice started, "looks like I found your directionally challenged hand before it got too lost." Mikado nodded his head while all present snickered none too softly. +++ Flashback 2 +++ "C'mon Reiko, drink at least two of these 'small' glasses of wine!" Said 'small' glasses of wine were two LARGE glasses of wine. Reiko smiled faintly at the client who was trying to get her drunk. Bastard, was all she thought about him. How could she get out of this situation without blowing the thousand-dollar deal with perverted client? "No, it's my duty to drink this." The fat man glared at Ryo. "Why is that?" Ryo smirked evilly at Reiko. She felt dread overcome her. "She's my girl." Reiko frowned slightly while her co-workers swooned. Jerk, she thought. +++ Flashback 3 +++ "Yes, yes. Fifty tables twenty desserts. Okay." Reiko nodded her head as Alex wrote the order down. In the background several men in black were busy counting the little birdies flying around that Ryo had given them. Ryo smirked as he crushed several arrows drugged with sleeping powder. Ryo smacked his hands as if dusting off some dirt. "Mission accomplished." +++ End +++ "Ok, so maybe he was a lot of help." She added reluctantly. Alex still had her 'told ya so' smirk on her face. "Still, he's a jerk." "If I recall correctly I remember one occasion where you both were jerks." +++ Flashback +++ "Nice dojo." Ryo commented as he looked around the dojo. Reiko hadn't opened her dojo yet nor did she start accepting students she her dojo was still clean and tidy. "Thanks, I guess." "I'm not sure you qualify as a sensei though. You're a uncute, tomboyish, and unskillful martial artist." She growled. "Why you... perverted, ugly, stupid, weak lecher!" They both growled in unison and lunged at each other. Alex sighed as she watched them punch, slap, and pull each other's hair as if they were two five-year-olds having a brawl. Two hours later... Her hair in disarray and clothes torn slightly, Reiko breathed heavily from where she sat on top of an equally messy Ryo. "Jerk!" She gasped out. Her insult filled Ryo with renewed energy as he flipped her over and got on top of her with his hands pinning her arms down. "Hah! Uncute tomboy!" He waited for an angry retort from the redhead but didn't get any. "Huh?" He looked down and saw Reiko sleeping quietly. Ryo snorted and rolled over to lie next to her. Minutes later, a tired Ryo fell asleep and Reiko unconsciously turned on her side to hug his arm. +++ End +++ "Remind me to never do that again, that was one tiring fight!" Alex snorted. "Tell me about it. I got tired just watching you guys go at it." "Reiko." She looked at her boss. "Yeah?" He smiled. "Christmas is coming up and we are going to have a five star party!" She grinned. "It'll be fun." "This time some of the richest and most influential businessmen/women will be present. I trust you all to make the part a world class beauty and dress appropriately?" They all nodded. "Good!" When he left, excited whispers circulated the office. Alex clasped her hands dreamily. "The richest men will be there! We are all going to definitely dress sexily and look drop dead gorgeous!" All the females nodded, Reiko following uncertainly. She didn't get what the big deal was all about. "Maybe all of you ladies are going to be sexy at the party but one particular female is just going to look uncute the whole evening. She is going to be dateless and lonely with no one to give her a present on Christmas Eve. Isn't that right, kawaiikune Reiko?" The office was all quiet as all their co-workers stared at Ryo as if he had a death wish. Ryo smirked arrogantly as he said, "Too bad Reiko, maybe you shouldn't attend. You are way too unsexy to be there." Reiko growled. "Take that back." He raised one of his eyebrows. "It's true though. You can't ever be sexy." "I can." He smirked. "Then prove it at the Christmas Eve party. If you can be sexy then I'll sacrifice myself by kissing you and being your 'date' for the night." She frowned. "I don't want a lecher like you smooching me." His smirk widened. "Ah... excuses, excuses, huh Reiko? If you can't do it then just say you can't." "Fine, your bet is on." His smirk widened even more, as impossible as it may seem. As soon as she saw his expression she mentally slapped her head. She fell for it again! +++ Christmas Eve +++ Ryo stifled a yawn as he stood by the refreshment stand waiting for a 'sexy' Reiko to appear. The party had started an hour ago. He grumbled softly. "Where is Reiko? Is she too ashamed to attend?" "I don't think so." "Huh?" He looked at Alex confused. The green-haired girl just smirked and pointed at the entrance. He turned to look and his mouth fell open. Several men whistled while others just plain stared gaping at the sexy woman- no 'goddess' who had just arrived at the no longer boring party. Several weak-hearted men fainted and numerous developed nosebleeds. Said goddess was Reiko. She wore a tight spaghetti strap dress that had two high slits on the side. Her hair had been tied in a high ponytail and as she walked her hair swayed exposing her bare back, telling everyone that her dress was indeed backless. With white high heels, sparkling jewelry, and a tad of good taste make up as a finishing touch, Reiko looked like a fallen goddess. Reiko sauntered over to the gaping Ryo. In a sultry voice she asked him amused, "Sexy enough for you Ryo-kun?" Even having seen many beautiful women before didn't prepare him for the sexy Reiko. Combined with her sultry voice he was forced to do something that he had never done before. He developed a nosebleed. Reiko giggled her laughter sounding like a dozen little bells. How on earth did she change so quickly? Her beauty could not be from this Earth. He closed his eyes and went through all the meditation techniques he knew. He smiled at her and handed her a small box that he had in his pocket. She blinked at having received a present from Ryo. "T-thanks." He nodded as she neatly unwrapped it. Her left eyebrow twitched ever so slightly as she held up a No-more-Wrinkles cream. Ryo smirked. "Well, I decided you needed all the help you can get with all those billions of wrinkles you have on your face." She was about to throw the cream at him when she noticed something else in the box. It was a white gold ring with a diamond rose. Around her the other women gasped out in unison, "Pretty." She looked at him and said mildly, "I guess you're forgiven." He smirked and pointed above them. Her eyes widened while all present grinned. "A-a-a m-m-mistle-t-toe..." She shook her head. "No." He nodded. "Yes." "No!" "Yes, it's time for me to fulfill my other half of the dare." The words he said on the previous days played over again in her mind. 'Then prove it at the Christmas Eve party. If you can be sexy then I'll sacrifice myself by kissing you and being your 'date' for the night." "Nononononono..." All around them her co-workers chanted. "KisskisskissKissKISSKISSKISS!" She shook her head as Ryo wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. Her eyes widened as he pressed his lips against hers. Everywhere loud whistles were heard along with the sound of hooting. Ryo stepped away from the flush Reiko grinning. She hadn't slapped him and called him a pervert yet so he guessed that she was so flustered to mind him having slipped his tongue during their passionate kiss. The glazed look in her eyes disappeared as her face reddened and she ran out of the room. "Aww..." Sounds of disappointment circulated the room. "Well?" He blinked turning towards Alex and the other co-workers. "Huh?" Alex sighed and pushed him towards the door. "Go after her silly!" "Oh." +++++++ Reiko walked dazed back to her home while holding her present from Ryo. She slipped the ring on her hand and blinked as she saw her present for Ryo in her purse. She had been about to give it to him when he had...kissed her. She touched her lips. She could still feel his lips pressed against hers and his tongue entering...that..that..pervert! He had tongued her! She fumed for several minutes before a realization dawned her. This was the first time she had been kissed after..Tomo.. A tear streamed down her cheek. Why? Why...? More tears followed the first as she remembered the fun she had with Tomo last year at Christmas. As soon as the first tear fell, it started to rain. It was odd. It should have snowed but for some odd reason it rained. Her dress became soaked as it began to rain harder in unison with the strength of her tears. Two blocks from her home, she stopped crying and it stopped raining. It then began to snow. +++++++ Ryo appeared inside the Sakura home out of thin air. He glanced around the house confused that Reiko hadn't arrived home yet. He opened the front door to wait for her when his eyes widened as his eyes met a freezing and soaked Reiko. "Reiko!" He grabbed her when she fainted. He carried her upstairs to her room worried. He was about to change her clothes but decided against it. She wouldn't be happy to see that she had undressed and dressed her. He sighed and set her down upright. He hugged her and gulped at the feel of her body pressed against his body. He steeled himself and kissed her the second time that night. Their bodies glowed red as Reiko's clothes dried. He nodded his head in satisfaction. He lifted her up and placed her gently on her queen-size bed. He placed her blanket over her gently and was about to step away when her hands grabbed him. "What?!" Surprised he was pulled down on top of her. He struggled but only managed to lie next to her under her comforter. His struggling ceased when he heard her mumble softly in her sleep, "Don't leave...please..." Ryo blinked and complied. He sighed as he lied next to Reiko. He glanced at her. She sure was cute. He turned his gaze back to the ceiling. His eyes began to droop as he yawned. Soon he was asleep. Reiko snuggled closer to him, her head resting on his chest. A woman in her forties suddenly appeared grinning mischievously. "Son..that girl is beautiful!" She was glad that she had been invisible and pulled her son down on her hopefully soon-to-be-bride. Such a pretty girl, my son is one lucky man! She laughed childishly and disappeared. +++ Christmas Day +++ Her eyes fluttered as she woke up. She blinked and turned to her left to stare right into Ryo's dark brown eyes. "Merry Christmas," Ryo said sleepily. "..." She stared for a few minutes silent before... "PERVERT!!!" Ryo jumped out of the way of Reiko's mallet. He blew her a raspberry before running out of her room. Reiko followed soon after and the two stampeded over the unfortunate Alex holding her presents for them. Her eyes rolled around in circles. "M..merry....C.christmas..t.to..y..you...too.." She fainted. ++++++ MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Consider this my present to you all! I don't know what to think about this chapter since it may be a bit fast but...I wrote this in five hours! Give me a break! ^_^;; Ja ne. 12-26-01 AN: Well, Jachan...Ryo is definitely OOC mostly because this is after the show and a lot of things have happened that will be explained later. She looked down at her clothes and found that she was still wearing her dress from the party. Seeing the ring on her hand she remembered the gift she didn't give to Ryo. Walking upstairs she got his present and went back to the lecher lying on the couch. A few steps away from reaching Ryo the present triggered the memory of last night. The vivid memory of Ryo pressing his lips against hers... "Ow! What was that for?! What's this..?" Ryo stared confused at the gift Reiko just threw at him. He glanced back and forth from the retreating form of a furious Reiko back to the present. He shrugged and started unwrapping the gift. He blinked and held up the black shirt with the words, 'I'm a Lecher and Proud too!' written in English. His right eye twitched. Alex had woken up when Reiko had stormed into her room. She stratched the back of her head as she heard a bout of grumbles and complaints about perverts and kissing lechers. ++++++++ Ryo yawned as he stretched on the couch. "Son." He blinked and turned to the source of the comment. His eyes widened and he almost fell off the couch. "Mom!" The same woman as the night before grinned and a mischievous glint entered her eyes. "Living in the same house with that beautiful redhead son, what a bright idea!" "It's really nothing mom, don't get any ideas." Misao Sazaki laughed. "Who are you trying to kid, Ryo-kun? You are attracted to her!" She rubbed her chin as Ryo protested. "My son is growing up! Devilishly handsome too and even taking the initiative with Reiko!" The raven-haired mother of Ryo turned serious abruptly. "Son." Ryo recognized her tone of voice. He didn't know which personality of his mother he hated the most, her childish ways or her serious attitude. "Yeah?" "I noticed that you're not as naive as you used to be. With Miyuki you always seemed to ignore her obvious love for you. Why?" Ryo frowned slightly. "I've changed mother." "I know. You would have never flirted with a female and kissed her. You were always more into fighting, training, and war plans." Misao stated as a matter of factly. She glanced at her son worried. "Is it because of what happened with Miyuki?" Her assumption was confirmed when Ryo nodded. He spoke softly, more to himself than to his mother. "I was a fool. Always ignoring Miyuki and yelling at her. When I finally realized her love for me, it was too late." He laughed bitterly. "I mean, just how much does a girl have to take before she finally gives up? Who wouldn't give up on me with the way I was always naive about her attraction to me." Misao remained quiet for a moment as Ryo sighed. "Ryo-kun.." Ryo smiled faintly. "Well, maybe the change is for the better. With Miyuki married to another person I realized that I couldn't be that ignorant about the opposite sex. If I felt any attraction toward someone I shouldn't make her do all the courting." "So that's why you've been so forward with Reiko?" Misao sighed happy. "My son, finally starting to show some interest in the opposite sex! Such a big boy now kissing girls and teasing them." Ryo sweatdropped as his mother rambled on. "I definitely approve of that Reiko. She's beautiful and smart. She can fight and cook. With her figure she is the best example of a good childbearing mother!" With stars in her eyes Misao didn't notice Ryo fade and disappear. "Ryo?" She turned around and shrugged. She heard a sigh and turned to see her husband sitting on the couch. "Misao, must you always do that? You're scaring our son away." The middle aged raven-haired man said. He had a mustache and a lean body. "Koga! I don't scare him!" Misao whined to her husband. "Sure, sure." Misao frowned as her husband laughed. "I think that Reiko may be the one." Misao nodded her head. "I think so too. I have a hunch that Ryo's attitude with Reiko isn't entirely due to Miyuki. He may have learned from the incident with Miyuki that he shouldn't be careless but it doesn't explain the constant pranks and teasing he does with Reiko. There's something about Reiko that makes him so.." "Uninhibited." "Yeah." She nodded in agreement serious for a brief moment. "Which means...I'm going to have a daughter-in-law soon!" Koga sighed as his wife danced around the room. "The pains." ++++++++ Reiko sighed as she turned on the shower. The warm water felt like heaven to her as she cleaned herself. Ryo appeared in her bedroom and grinned mischievously when he heard the running water. He closed his eyes and glowed red for several moments. "Ahh! Cold!!" Reiko screamed as she jumped out of the shower. She shivered as she wrapped her towel around her. She heard someone laughing from inside her bedroom and growled. "Ryo." "HAHAHAHA--urp!" Ryo stared as an angry Reiko stormed out of the shower. His mouth opened slightly as his face reddened. Reiko had been so furious that she forgot that she had just gotten out of the shower. Her body was still wet and she only had a small towel wrapped around her body. He turned his head away as Reiko yelled, "Ack!" and ran back into the bathroom. Several minutes later a fully dressed Reiko left the bathroom and stalked up to Ryo. "You...you..Jerk!" She slapped him. He held his cheek. "It was just a joke." He grumbled softly. "Don't you ever know when to be serious?" She frowned. "Why can't you just stop it!" He stiffened. "Sorry." Reiko blinked as he turned around and left. "R-ryo?" She stared pensive at the spot Ryo had been before hiding her chi and following Ryo invisible. She followed Ryo onto the roof of her house. She stealthily sat on the roof without Ryo noticing. +++++++ Ryo stared solemnly at the stars as he lay on his back. Reiko's angry words struck something in his heart. 'Don't you ever know when to be serious?' "I should be serious, but I'm almost never serious. Why can't I ever stay serious? If I had been serious and thoughtful then mother wouldn't have died. She wouldn't have had to die from that damn wolf's poison. If I had been more thoughtful then my parents wouldn't have been shamed when I killed the stupid dragon prince. If I had been serious, I wouldn't have lost...Miyuki.." Reiko felt guilty as she listened in on Ryo's mutterings to himself. She had just said those words out of anger for his constant pranks. She stifled a gasp as a man appeared out of no where. "Son." Ryo looked up. "There's evil and you are needed to fight it. This time it is very serious. Not little magical creatures messing around, but big ones. It's even bigger than our fight those centuries ago against that Atsuko who tried to take over the empire." Ryo's eyes widened. "What? Even more serious?! So many people had died because of that war with Atsuko!" Koga nodded. "Then I must leave now." Koga snapped his fingers as a portal suddenly appeared under them. Ryo and Koga fell into the portal unafraid. Once they were transported into the dimension of the Gods the two Sazaki's clothes changed into their battle armor. They landed on their feet softly and were about to leave when they heard a shout. "Ow!" Ryo recognized that voice. No it couldn't be her. He turned around just as Reiko uncloaked herself. She rubbed her bottom as she stood up. She looked around her confused. "Where are we?" Reiko asked Ryo. Ryo's shock face changed into one of anger and desperation. "How-? You! You were on the roof weren't you?" Reiko nodded her head. "Yeah, I was worried about you. I mean you acted so..serious." Ryo frowned. "Isn't that what you wanted?" "I wasn't serious." She said frowning herself. "Where is this place?" Ryo threw his arms up in the air in exasperation. "REIKO!" "What?!" "You shouldn't be here! This place isn't safe you need to go back to Earth." Ryo walked over to Reiko and grabbed her arm. "No." Ryo stared at Reiko but pulled her anyway to his father. "Let me go!" "Ain't gonna." He growled as he reached his father. "Father, take her back." "I would love to but.." Koga glanced away sheepishly. "But..that was a one way thing that Kami-sama gave me. We can go back once the evil is vanished. It was a safe guard in case we didn't win. The evil wouldn't be able to reach the Earth and terrorize its people." Ryo sighed as Reiko grinned triumphantly. "Guess I'm here to stay. So..what's this evil we are fighting?" Ryo shook his head. "It's the evil that I am fighting not YOU." Reiko shrugged. "Whatever." Ryo felt like pulling his hair at the moment. It was like Miyuki here being in his way but Reiko was a lot more stubborn. "Reiko.." "I can handle myself." Koga sighed and tried his best to calm the two down. "Now, now. Why don't we just meet the others and talk it over. How does that sound?" Ryo and Reiko nodded rather grudgingly. Reiko stared as a large cloud appeared and Ryo's father jumped on top of it. "Come on, this way." Ryo's father was flying on a cloud, Reiko thought startled. Ryo grinned slightly as he whistled and a pair of phoenixes appeared. They immediately turned into two flaming wheels and Ryo jumped on top of it. "Looks like you have to let me carry you." Reiko bit her lip unwilling to show her obvious disadvantage between them. She gave a shout of protest when Ryo just grabbed her and started flying. Sure she had gone roofhopping often and jumped very high in the sky. Flying at a speed that seemed impossible up a thousand feet is very different. Reiko wasn't totally unused to the air so she didn't faint or scream like a little girl. She stared down at the unknown place she had fallen into and grabbed Ryo tighter. Ryo and Koga slowed down as they saw their friends and family waiting on a flying mountain. A strange man with wings and face very much like a that of a bird's said something to his tall companion wearing an armor similar to his and Ryo's. The man turned around and Reiko saw that he had three eyes, an extra one on his forehead. A large black dog seemed to belong to the three-eyed man sat next to him. The two grinned and waved when they saw Ryo and Koga. Ryo jumped off of the fire wheels and landed several feet away from the group of people. Two other young men turned around and walked over to them, they looked normal and were even rather handsome. They blinked and the taller one asked, "Who's she brother?" Reiko glared at Ryo as he let go of her sheepishly. Ryo grinned as he hugged his brothers. "Oh, her? She's Reiko Sakura and she is a very annoying girl." Reiko stomped on Ryo's foot and he yelled out in pain. She 'hmphed' and turned around. "Who are you guys?" The bird man whispered into the three-eyed man's ears, "Tien, it seems that Ryo finally got over your sister." Tien nodded his head. "I'm glad that he is. It's about time that he got over Miyuki." "He was pretty angry and disappointed then. Who wouldn't with the way Miyuki just dumped him like that." "Kaze!" Tien yelled giving somewhat of a glare to the birdman. "Don't talk like that about my sister. She couldn't help but fall in love with someone else." Kaze waved his hands around in a warding gesture. "Okay, okay!" Reiko grew impatient when the group of people gathered continued to ignore her question. She was about to do something drastic when a middle age woman appeared right next to her wearing the same armor as Ryo. "Oh! I finally get to meet Reiko!" Reiko stared at the woman. "Who are you, and how do you know my name?" The woman grinned. "I'm Misao Sazaki, Ryo's mother!" Ryo waved his hand around wildly trying to get his mother to be quiet. All his attempts were purely moot. "I'm the goddess of childbirth and children!" Ryo hung his head as he waited for the inevitable. "Goddess..?" Reiko asked shocked. She glanced around the people around her. "Are you guys all gods?" They all nodded their heads except for Ryo. Ryo's taller brother blinked as he asked her, "You didn't know?" Reiko shook her head and turned to Ryo pointing at him. "YOU are a GOD?" He nodded his head. Reiko frowned. "If all gods are perverted and insensitive like you then I'm not sure we should worship you guys." Ryo frowned. "Hey! I'm not perverted!" Reiko smirked triumphantly. "Then you are saying that you are insensitive?" He shook his head. "No!" Reiko shrugged. "You all know my name but who are you?" Tien grinned as he walked up to her shaking her hand. "I'm Tien, God of Justice." "I'm Kaze, God of Lightning!" Reiko sweatdropped as Kaze stood dramatically with thunder flashing behind him. There was something about that scene that made her shiver for no reason. Ryo's tall brother smiled at her. "I'm Kyo." Ryo's other brother spoke after Kyo. "I'm Siyo." "So what's this great evil that is threatening the Kami Realm?" Reiko asked, pointedly ignoring the frowning Ryo. "The one person that is the cause for all the trouble and is threatening to rule over the Kami AND Earth Realms is Zenki, a powerful half God/half Demon." Misao stated worriedly. Reiko frowned. "And just where is this Zenki?" Misao glanced at her son, still signaling her for her to be quiet and replied, "In the Forbidden Forest." "Forbidden? What for?" She asked confused. "Kami-sama uncleverly expelled all the fallen angels and kamis along with the good-turned-evil magical creatures." Reiko stared at her in disbelief. "No offense to Kami-sama but that is just plain asking for trouble and helping some evil villain grow the army he/she needs to conquer the Realms!" Reiko shook her head and then smirked so confidently that she reminded Misao of Ryo. "Well, that's no problem because I will help you guys take Zenki down!" Ryo shook his head and crossed his arms over his chest. "There is no way I'm going to let you do that!" He frowned at his mother. "Mom! Why did you tell her everything?! Now she's going to stupidly go after Zenki and get hurt. Why can't you just listen to me for once?" Reiko stepped in front of Ryo's sad mother. "Don't you yell at her you jerk! I would give up everything to get my mother back! You have a caring mother, father, and even two older brothers! What more do you want?" Ryo bit back his retort at Reiko's pained face. Misao grinned trying to ease the tension that grew. "Now, now. Reiko why don't you just call me mother? I'll be just like your real mother from now on. How about that? Besides, we're practically family!" She grinned sheepishly at the glare Ryo gave her for her last comment. Reiko was too overwhelmed to notice the meaning implied by Misao's last comment. "Really?" Misao nodded her head blinking at Reiko's tone of voice, heavily filled with love, longing, and hope. Reiko grabbed her hugging her tightly, her eyes filled with tears of joy. "Thank you so much! Sazak..mother!" Misao patted Reiko's back as she continued to hug her and mumble words of thanks. Everyone remained quiet, respecting the exchange between the two 'mother and daughter.' Ryo was especially silent. He knew how she felt because he hadn't met his mom until he was eighteen. Regrettably he hadn't learned to appreciate her until she had been poisoned to death. He regretted all his angry words and words of irritation that he had thrown at her. Reiko smiled as she stepped away from her 'mother.' "So, when are we going to kick that Zenki's behind?" Ryo growled. "I said NO!!!" +++++ Reiko, Tien, Kaze, and the Sazaki family walked through the Forbidden forest. Reiko giggled slightly as she glanced at the grumbling Ryo. Ryo frowned as he turned to his friends. "Just how was Reiko able to come with us to kill that Zenki?" Tien shrugged. "Well, you know how your mother is. She just has a knack for convincing you." Ryo sighed. "She is my mother...I can't treat her horribly like before she died." Kaze nodded his head and Misao suddenly stopped walking. Reiko glanced at Misao worriedly. "What's wrong?" Everyone but her started pulling out their swords and various weapons. Ryo growled. "Looks like Zenki's minions." Reiko's eyes hardened as she got into a ready stance. She frowned when Ryo stood in front of her protectively. "I told you I can handle myself." He ignored her and her frown deepened. Suddenly a large group of demons appeared along with two very familiar figures. Siyo gasped. "Hung, Ha?!" "Hung." The taller ox-like man said. "Ha." The shorter one snorted out his name. The two figures looked awfully like oxen! "Who are they?" Reiko questioned. "They are semi-gods who can't say anything other than their names. Once they yell, they can cause earthquakes and huge tremors in the ground. We defeated them before by the combining yell of the word 'yo' which the three of our brothers have in our name. 'Yo' is the first incantation a god had said to defeat the demons." Siyo explained to Reiko. A tall woman appeared next to the two oxmen. "You won't be able to defeat Hung and Ha again because they are much stronger than you are." Hung and Ha snorted in agreement. "What are you saying?" Ryo growled. The dark haired woman smirked. "What I'm saying is that I have amplified Hung and Ha's voice to make their shouts overwhelm your pathetic 'yo.'" Kyo stared at her. "Impossible." Her smirk widened. "Let's see. Go Hung and Ha!" They both grinned and yelled in unison. "HUNG, HA!!!" Siyo, Kyo, and Ryo stepped away from their group and yelled back, "YO!!" They stared in shock as Hung and Ha's shout not only canceled theirs but also went through and caused the ground to shake. Reiko just blinked as everyone struggled to stay on his or her feet. "How come I don't feel a thing?" She asked. They shook their heads not knowing the reason why. Despite the fact that the three Sazaki brothers' shout didn't stop Hung and Ha's shout they still continued to yell out, "YO!!" It didn't help them any if only she was immune to Hung and Ha's shout. She needed to do something but what? Her eyes went blank as an image of a woman, looking exactly like her except with silver hair, appeared in her mind. "Ryoko?" Ryo and his brothers blinked as a small 'yo' combined with their shout. They turned to stare at Reiko in shock. "How?" Misao jumped in joy. "That's great daughter-in-law! You can help Ryo!" Reiko stared at her mother. "What did you just call me, mother?" Her eyes wide she lied, "Daughter of course!" She nodded her head still suspicious but stood next to Ryo. "Guess, I'm helping. YO!!" Ryo, Siyo, and Kyo combined their shout with Reiko and totally canceled out Hung and Ha's shout. The evil woman growled as she shouted to the large group of demons behind her, "Kill them!" "Yes, Brie!" They shouted in unison before charging at the gods. The only people capable of fighting were Tien, Kaze, Misao, and Koga. Siyo, Ryo, Kyo, and Reiko were busy canceling out Hung and Ha's earthshaking shouts. Kaze took flight as he started hammering out lightning at the demons. Koga took out his sword as he plowed through the demons destroying them left and right. Tien fired beams of energy from his third eye on his forehead as he waved his large sword at the demons. Reiko stared worried for her mother. She was the goddess of childbirth. If there was anyone who needed protection, it was her! Of course, Reiko barely managed to stop herself from facefaulting when Misao pointed her hand up and shouted, "Unsheathe!" The sword that she carried on her back shot out of its cover and became a dozen identical swords flying at high speeds at the charging demons, killing them with fast and precise slashes. Even with their powerful attacks, the four of them would not be able to defeat all of the demons. There were just too many to finish off. Her new parents and Ryo's friends were in trouble. What could she do though? She needed to continue yelling out 'yo' so that Hung and Ha's own devastating shout didn't cause anymore damage. If only there was two of her, but there wasn't. Cologne's Splitting Cat Hairs technique wouldn't work since it only made chi images of her. Her body needed to split in two and be able to cause physical damage. But how? She continued to shout out 'yo' as she contemplated what to do. She snapped her fingers. "That's it!" She shouted before remembering to shout out 'yo' again. "YO!!! What?" Ryo asked her. "YO!!! Watch and see what a master of the art can do." He blinked at her as she brought her hands together and shouted, "SPLITTING CAT HAIRS TECHNIQUE REVISED, TWIN DRAGONS SPLIT!!" Ryo stared shocked as Reiko split into two. The two Reikos turned to smirk at him before one jumped away to kill demons. The remaining Reiko gave him a 'I'm the best!' look before starting to shout 'yo' again. ++++++ Misao was hard pressed as demons surrounded her. Why were there so many? Her eyes widened as she tried to dodge from a demon's attack from behind. She knew that she was going to get wounded on that one since she wasn't as agile as her son was. She heard a shout of, "MOKO TAKABISHA!" and the expected pain didn't arrive. She opened her eyes to see her 'daughter' smiling at her and giving her the thumbs up. Misao nodded as she continued to slash away at the swarming demons. Reiko jumped through the air and threw chi blasts left and right. She growled slightly as she punched the demon behind her. The demons seemed to realize what a threat she was because they all started to surround her. She smirked and shouted, "HIRYUU SHOUTEN HA!!" as she did a revised version of the Dragon Ascension technique. Instead of having to run around in circles she just punched upward causing a tornado to form. She jumped up in joy as the surrounding demons were swept up in the devastating tornado. Brie glared at the redhead before motioning for the remaining demons, Hung, and Ha to retreat. "We'll meet again, Red!" Reiko just blew her a raspberry. The two Reikos turned to each other and merged back into one. Misao grinned as she gave Reiko a high five. "Without my strong daughter then we would be dead!" They all nodded in agreement. Before Ryo could yell at the redhead, Reiko's eyes rolled inward and fell unconscious. "Reiko!" He caught her before she fell. "What's wrong?" He asked his mother. Misao gave him an assuring look. "She's fine, just exhausted." He nodded his head. Ten minutes later Reiko woke up to see everyone surrounding her in worry. "Sorry about that." She said. Ryo growled. "You better be, idiot." Reiko glared at him. "You interfered and look what happened? You exhausted yourself! I told you to stay out!" Reiko frowned. "If it weren't for me then you could be dead! I'm fine, just a bit tired." He stared at her in irritation. He knew that she was right but he was too worried and irritated to acknowledge it to her. "I don't know what kind of martial artist you are! You're pathetic!" Reiko growled softly. "Well, I don't know what kind of god you are! You're a jerk, PATHETIC, and can't do a thing correctly!" "You are such an uncute tomboy who can't get a date! You're so sexless that even if you managed to get married, he would leave you for another woman!" He retorted without even thinking about what he said. Reiko stared at him hurt. She kept seeing images of Tomo kissing that woman. She clutched her chest as she slumped to her knees. Tears streamed down her cheek. It began to drizzle again but stopped abruptly when Reiko stood up wiping her face. Ryo flinched at the betrayed look Reiko shot him. Her voice trembled slightly as she said, "I..I hate you." "Reiko!" He shouted to the redhead but she had already disappeared. "What did I do." He mumbled to himself. +++++++ She stumbled as she walked into an unfamiliar part of the Forbidden Forest. Not that anywhere in the Realm was familiar. She blinked as she saw a tall blonde man in front of her. She glared at him suspicious. "Who are you?" A small smirk formed on his face. "Zenki." Her eyes widened. She pulled her sword out of her subspace. "You're the enemy." His smirk just widened. She growled in irritation and charged at him. She blinked when he disappeared. "Where?" She felt his presence behind her but turned around too late. She saw darkness as pain flared on her neck. ++++++ When she regained consciousness all she saw was darkness. "Where am I?" She felt a presence behind her and turned around. "Who's there?" "Your friend." She recognized that voice. Zenki. "You're hurt. I know it. I know how you feel. Betrayed. Angry." Reiko growled. "You don't know anything. Stay away from me you bastard." She heard him chuckling and her growl grew louder. "You really don't want me away. I'm your friend. At least I won't harm you with insults like Ryo." Her face grew darker as he continued to speak. "I'm not like your real mom, who abandoned you with your father. She didn't want you and left you with him." Reiko hung her head as depression and betrayal overcame her. "I'm not like your father. I wouldn't have harmed you with dangerous techniques and leave you when you needed him the most." "Jusenkyou. Nekoken." Her eyes widened as hatred started seeping into her visage. "I won't betray you. I won't insult you. I won't leave you for another bimbo." Zenki grinned as Reiko began to fall to her knees, clutching her head in pain. He wrapped his arms around her and grinned in satisfaction when she didn't push him back or flinch away. "I'll be on your side forever. Will you be on mine?" She nodded her head as she started to get dizzy and fall unconscious again. The blonde half-demon grinned and chuckled. "You're mine." ++++++ Author Notes: What do you think? Please tell me. My story format is usually that I will get dark and dramatic for a while and then lighten up. So..don't really expect it to be completely humorous or dramatic. Anyway..HAPPY NEW YEARS! Once again, I got my fans a present! I really hope you like it...I don't usually write this fast...oh well time to study for exams. Some of the concepts used are also from Anywhere But Here. Chapter Eight Part One: I am not Reiko +++++++ The Kami Realm. The Realm of the Gods, honorable, respectable, and full of dexterity. Many mortals believed that the Kami Realm was unattainable, a myth, or even a figment of a person's imagination. In many modern myths and legends, the kamis lived in a white and bright place, filled with extravagant golden columns. Of course those were just myths. The Realm of the Kamis was just like the mortal realm, there were mountains, valleys, and rivers. One noticeable difference - the Palace of Kami-sama located on a floating mountain. The Kami Realm didn't have cities or skyscrapers - no technology whatsoever. +++++++ Her eyes narrowed as she shouted at the creatures swarming out. Swords flashed out of their sheaths and rapidly flew through the bodies of the demons. Misao surveyed how her teammates were doing. Her husband flashed her a grin before returning to his usual scowling, no-nonsense self. He confused her greatly. It might have been her death that changed him - he was the most faithful man she knew. Something was amiss. Her eyes scanned the battle. Worry filled her visage. "Ryo-kun..." +++++++ He stared at the sky troubled. Worry and confusion filled his mind as he slumped his shoulders. Ryo sighed as his eyes fell on the tranquil lake. "Rei-chan...where are you?" "Son." Ryo turned and sighed as his eyes met the worried face of his kind mother. "Found me, huh?" Misao nodded. He turned away and laid back on the grass to stare at the sky again. "Just where could she be? I mean, how far can a female mortal run? She may be a talented martial artist, but that's all she is. A martial artist. She's not a warrior. Not a mage, or a demi-god or demon. She doesn't know a single spell!" He sighed again. "You've got it bad, son. You skipped a fight just to think about her." Misao's comment was confirmed as Ryo gave her a pained look. "But why did she leave? I wasn't serious about what I said. So why did she overreact so much?!" His mother's response stopped him cold. "Maybe because what you said really did happen." ++In the Forbidden Forest++ The various creatures grinned as they fed on another divine creature. Those gods really did taste good. The hundreds of demon globs grotesquely ripped apart the weak demi-god. The demon globs were like sickly black globs with several dozen red eyes. Their red eyes glowed as they reared in triumph at their treat. Most of the demons residing in the Forbidden Forest were magical creatures that turned evil or deformed globs. Only the more powerful minions of Zenki had humanoid features. Some gods had been born with a tainted soul leading them to be expelled ultimately. The demons were all waiting for the day when they could roam the mortal realm. Being expelled into the Forbidden Forest really sucked. The bastard Kami-sama built a powerful barrier surrounding the forest. They couldn't leave, nor could they teleport to the mortal realm. Of course that was until Zenki arrived. Zenki, Kami-sama's evil counterpart. Life was great. With the powers of Zenki they could slip several demons through the barrier with little ease. Zenki wasn't stupid enough to slip the weaker demons through the barrier. Whenever he had enough energy to send a demon or two the demons happily followed his orders to cause havoc. Several demons paused in their fun to stare at the newcomer. Zenki smiled as he saw her approach him. "I'm going to send you out to eliminate the intruders." She nodded. "Come back soon, Ryoko-chan." "I will, Zenki-kun." +++++++ "It can't be." Ryo said, his voice clearly showing he was in denial. "Reiko-chan... How could any man have ever betrayed her? She..." He was interrupted as a loud blast resounded in the air and a charred figure land in front of him. "KAZE!" He yelled as he checked his bird friend. Misao rushed to his unconscious friend's side. She started glowing as she healed him. His mind pushed his worries about Reiko back as he got into an alert stance. His eyes darted back and forth as he searched for the enemy's location. "Come out here already, or are you just not man enough?" Laughter filled the air as black swirls appeared before him. He clutched his sword tightly. The black swirls suddenly disappeared as a feminine figure appeared. The woman's red lips smirked. The woman before him was unidentifiable since she wore black sunglasses that covered her eyes. She wore a black strapless top with blue and yellow triangles on the top. She wore a matching long skirt that did not quite hide her washboard stomach. The woman wore a large black hat and a blue choker. What made him almost stumble was her long hair. Bright red. "R-reiko?" He whispered. A confused look replaced the redhead's smirk. "Reiko? Who is Reiko? I'm not Reiko. It's Ryoko, if you must know my name." "Wha?" He said confused. Could someone look so much like Reiko even though her eyes are covered? "Oh well, Zenki-kun wants me to make it quick so might as well get started." She seemed to disappear and then appear before him with an evil smirk on her face and a wicked looking katana aimed for his heart. He blocked her attack instinctively. His eyes glanced briefly to his right. His mother and friends were nowhere to be seen. "What have you done to them?!" He growled as he started throwing fireballs at her. Her smirk widened even more. "That is not your concern. Your job is to fight me and lose." "Not going to happen!" He yelled as they started trading blows. Ryoko's eyes flashed in anger when one of his attacks nearly touched her. She sped up and started firing energy blasts at Ryo. Her face was grim as she aimed for every deadly point she knew. Ryo was shocked for a second when Ryoko split into two. Ryoko grinned as she plunged her sword into his chest. Ryo blinked when the redhead's sword stopped several centimeters away from his chest. He stared at her face. She seemed as shock as he was since she could only stare at her hand. Why had she stopped, he wondered. Could it be, he thought in shock. She was still out of it and he decided to take advantage of that. Ryoko was startled when the glasses she wore had been broken. Her cerulean eyes narrowed in anger at the gawking man. "Bastard!" She yelled as she swung her sword at him. She growled when all he did was dodge and continue to stare at her. She didn't like the emotion she saw in his eyes. Longing and love. "Reiko!!" She was caught off guard when he tackled her. Confusion filled her when she didn't push him off of her. She stared at his tear filled eyes. What was happening to her? Why did..why did he make her feel this? She closed her eyes. Something in her was burning. Something..what? She reopened her eyes. He was the enemy. That's what Zenki said. She could kill him. She had to kill him. But why... couldn't she? An image of a mistletoe flashed in her mind. She clutched her head in pain. Ryo stared at her worried as tears started falling. "Reiko, Reiko, are you okay?" His eyes narrowed when the blue choker around her neck glowed briefly. Ryoko's eyes were frighteningly vacant when she stopped clutching her head in pain. She lifted her head to glare at him. "You're the enemy. I will kill you. Just you watch Ryo Sazaki." She said in a hateful voice. "REIKO!!!!" He yelled when she disappeared. He stared at the spot where she had been. He clenched his fist angrily. "Zenki, you bastard. You will pay." +++++++ Ryoko stumbled into her room clutching her chest. She fell down to her knees as she tried to calm her rapidly beating heart. After several minutes of breathing heavily she finally calmed down. She stood up shakily and wiped away the cold sweat on her forehead. What was wrong with her, she thought confused. Nothing like this had ever happened. The way her heart had beated rapidly was both uncomfortable and similar. Something clicked in her mind. It was the way she felt whenever Zenki came close to her but more intense. She felt that way around Zenki because she loved him. Then why was that feeling more intense around HIM? Could it be..? No, she didn't even like Ryo, much less love him. Something about him must have reminded her of Zenki. That was it. It had to be. Then again... Why did she feel like her heart had been ripped apart when she left him? She turned around sensing the appearance of her lover. "Zenki-kun.." She gave him a pained smile. "Ryoko-chan...you didn't finish did you?" She shook her head and lowered it guilty. She blinked when she felt the blonde man wrap his arms around her. "Zenki-kun..I'm sorry, I promise you that I will get rid of him soon. I-" Her words were cut short when he placed his finger on her mouth. "Shh.. I know, I know. You know that I can never be angry at you." Ryoko smiled at him grateful. Her heart started beating faster again as he drew his head closer to hers. Zenki's amethyst eyes were closed but Ryoko's wasn't. His lips came closer and closer and soon there was only a centimeter left before his lips would touch hers. His lips came closer and.. "I'm sorry Zenki-kun." Ryoko interrupted before disengaging from him. Zenki's eyes narrowed darkly as she turned and left. He clenched his fist in anger. Why was it that every time he came closer to her she would runaway? "Ryo Sazaki, you damned god. Even when she has no recollection of the times she spent with you, she is still yours. She's brainwashed for demon's sakes! So why is her heart and body still yours?!!" He roared in anger as he punched through the large tree near him. +++++++ Back in the Mortal Realm.. ++++++ Genma Saotome woke up from his sleep startled. His body was drenched with cold sweat as a sense of wrong filled him. He glanced over to his wife and found that she had also awakened sweating. "Genma.." Nodoka started trembling. "Something feels wrong..it's the same feeling I had when we lost..Ranma.." The large martial artist's eyes widened at his wife's trembling confession. "No.." The red-haired Saotome bit her bottom lip as she recognized his expression. "What are you hiding from me, Genma Saotome?" "I..I.." He stuttered. "It's about..Ranma.." "What about Ranma?" "Ranma was cursed permanently as a woman as you know and..I saw her six months ago at the tournament." Nodoka's eyes widened. "You saw her but you didn't tell me?!" He nodded his head. "Yes, but I didn't tell you because she was living a new and happy life. Ranma's name is Reiko Sakura now. I didn't want to ruin our so- daughter's life again..so.." "I understand." Genma's eyes hardened. "But what I just felt now..I know for sure that something is wrong. Specifically our daughter, Reiko." "So she's in danger?" "Who's in danger?" They turned startled slightly as they suddenly realized that they weren't alone. A young man stood by their bedroom door confused. His raven hair was tied in a short pigtail and he wore a red Chinese silk shirt and black kung fu pants. "Is something wrong, father, mother?" His blue eyes was hidden in the darkness of the room. "Yes there is, Hiro. It's about your sister, Reiko." Hiro blinked in confusion. "Sister? I have a sister?" +++++++ *CRACK!* Shampoo and Mousse stared at the Elder in shock when she suddenly dropped her cup of tea. Cologne narrowed her eyes when her cup broke. "An omen." "An omen?" Shampoo gasped. +++++++ Ryoko leaped up onto a high branch and sat down. She drew her knees close and wrapped her arms around herself. "Why did I run again?" She whispered painfully. "I love Zenki. I hate Ryo. So why am I more comfortable with the enemy?" She shook her head and rested her head on her arms. "Kami-sama.." She started unconsciously. "Stop the pain...stop it please.." ++++++ End Chapter Eight Part One. +++++++ Author Notes: Ano.. hello..heh, it's been a long time huh? Sorry that the chapter isn't very long (definitely not as much as I wanted to but..) School work, exams, projects, and other various things have kept me quite busy. I have a serious case of writer's block sadly so I'm only about 1/4 finished with the next chapter of Ranko's Gundam and Ranko's Fate. I'm not quite sure where to go with Ranko's Gundam so..it will a long time until there will be another update. Sorry 'bout that. Hopefully I haven't completely disappointed you with this shabby chapter..or half chapter. Anyway, I decided to post this part as part one of chapter eight. So technically, chapter eight will be long with part one and then two. Visit my website: http://alliehi_flower.tripod.com/rankoproductions/
